I was able to request a new bill from the bank. And I used this money in giving to my cousins and friends as my christmas gift. While I was distrubuting this money. A niece of mine says, kuya your so rich! your giving away dollars. My niece doesn't know that this is the new face of 20 peso bill. Let me show you some security features of this money: (1) embossed prints, (2) serial number, (3) security fibers, (4) watermark, (5) see-through mark, (6) concealed value, (7) security thread What is your reaction when you already had in person the new peso bill?

I haven't seen those new bills yet. Is it nice? Because based from pictures that I've seen, they look like play moneys. They don't look like they are genuine money.

They look foreign money at first glance. As it goes, it looks like play money tons of decorations.

Is that pesos belong to Phillippines? I never see such bill before, and it is pretty neat. So, what is the difference between this peso to South American Pesos? I am just curious. Since your country and other Spanish Speaking countries were conquered by Spain for while.

My first reaction was, I thought it was a currency of other country. It never appeared the way I saw it on television. The new twenty peso bills' color was darker in the actual view rather than on TV. However, I appreciate the new appearance of it and so with the rest of our other peso bill denomination because its always good to welcome new changes especially when its for the better. The kids whom I gave the money also reacted with surprise. They thought it was a play money and others wanted to change my new bill with the old ones. For the next couple of days, I think we will get used to it just like what expected. Have a nice day ahead!

They should get used to it. Because in 2011 this would be our money very soon and old ones are being collected until all the old ones are gathered.

Each and every time I see a new crisp bill that is released I do feel very excited. Not so much about the value but the new printing and regulations as to how our government is continually on top of preventing fraud.

Let just cross our finger that fraud won't invade the new face of our money.

Whenever I have seen our new bills I have been impressed. In addition to being more secure they are attractive and look nice. People are so much more able to counterfeit money now that it is good to have higher security.

i still haven't seen the new bills but already seen them in the recent news on tv. i think the new set of philippine currency bills really possess though securities. but to think how filipinos are great in everything, even with those security features, these new bills will also be tried to counterfeit soon.

Hi there gain, Syoti.:) I haven't received such bill yet and I am looking forward to having one in my hand on one of these days. I used to collect Philippine Peso bills especially those that are crisp from the bank. If ever I will have one of those new bills, including those that have defects, they will surely be added to my collections.

Now that a new 20 peso bill is now released, I hope that there will be no fake money scams that will bang up the news. I really hate bad news. Most or all of the new here in the Philippines are bad news. The only good news that we can hear sometimes are the victory of Manny Pacquiao, new about Charisse Pempengco, etc. That is why most of the time, I'm not watching news.

Is it just me but Manuel Quezon looks like a Caucasian guy in his photo there and he looks much younger. How come our money still dont have "in god we trust" The new money reminds me a bit of Australian dollars, The only difference is that Australian dollars have a transparent part that looks like a hole. I think the new money looks modern.

Nopes, never have this yet since I am not yet in Philippines. But I am happy to see the new bills being printed in order to eliminate fake bills particularly the 500 peso bill and the 1000 peso bills. I am sure you have made your niece and nephew happy too when you handed them this money. I can see a lot of features here and it will be impossible now to fake it since it has a lot of security features no matter how people try to magnify the said errors in the money.
