Can Chelsea miss the Champions League next season?

Like many other Chelsea fans,I am very disappointed by their disastrous evolution from the last period and I hope they will wake up and regain their form at the beginning of the new year,but I must admit that there are a few teams which play great football at the moment,such as Tottenham and Manchester City,not to mention Arsenal and Man United,so I'm truly worried that at the end of the season Chelsea might not be in the top four,which was unconceivable at the beginning of the season when everything seemed to be perfect.And,since the players are almost the same who won the title,do you think that Chelsea will be back where it should be,that is in the battle for the title,without bringing some fresh blood to the squad in the transfer period?
