Hi Toadsticker, I find academic articles do very well in term of page views, but not earnings.
Business articles have the advantage of both page views and earnings. However, certain keywords are too competitive, even though they are long tailed keywords.
health and fitness articles perform very well as a whole. My top performing article in Triond is about sleeping well.

Academic as in research paper type articles?
I was thinking of writing some about historic figures in a research paper format.

Food, people love food: it is easy to write about, I can finish an article in less than 10 minutes, and a bunch of people actually view them everyday...

I wrote one on probiotics thinking Health and food.
Like yogurt, Kimchi, Kefir and Kumbacha.
It doesn't do near as well as I thought it would.
I do love to cook, so maybe I should check into that.

Hello, Toadsticker. I find anything to do with health and fitness, especially diets and nutrition, gets lots of views and earns well. I also do a lot of relationship articles, mainly about love, marriage and various problems. Travel and personal finance also earn well. The article that's earned most overall is one about retiring to Spain - it's my top earner most months.

I wrote one on the HCG diet two weeks ago and it is moving up my earning chart but is behind a couple in it's daily earning.
I know nothing about travel LOL. I'm glad there are folks out there writing things I don't know so I can keep learning.
I have also heard that Tech articles do well but I am pretty much a luddite so that is out.

I write for Triond and so far health articles are doing good for me. Doemstic articles is great too so I focus on writing those topics. I I have written many write articles and then I get bored of it now, I write only domestic articles. If I am bored again, maybe I'll start writing another topics
