Hollywood out of good movies lately

I was just disappointed with the latest Hollywood films. Unstoppable; Black Swan; Tangled; and How do you know; etc.... they are just out of expectation, and they are not that good as I expected them to be. So, I would rather go back to watch those old films back to the 90s, or earlier. Better, I might enjoy more on those foreign language movies, although I have to follow up the subtitle. So, what are you reviews on the latest Hollywood films?

some are good while most of them, hmm pretty bad.i would say that i will not spend any dime for some of the movies which i forgot their names.lately they are so crazy in producing movies in 3D and i don't like that much.hopefully they will come up with better movies this year.

I think hollywood movies have taken a huge dump in the 'GOOD" category. They have been just including so much violence and foul language and killing and screaming and the whole story is relayed in about 30 minutes..the rest is hoopla special effects! And now they are remaking many of the old ones...or should I say ripping them apart cause they don't hold a candle to the oldies. I don't even bother with movies anymore. Sqeuals are bout the same.. I just saw the Toy Story 3...it was just okay. Didn't have the impact 1 and 2 did. Ithink HOllywood has taken a huge dump. LIke they can't think of anything to write about or have done it all, so let's replay everything!

We just have to think in the other way to see there are still some good movies which are running like the Inception.. The entire concept is different and it was a good movie.. Yes, i agree with your point with the recent flops of highly expected movies. Only a few movies are good and they go unnoticed because of the hype of other movies.. I just forgot the names of some movies which even came this late 2010...

It seems as though Hollywood has run out of ideas. However, I really enjoyed Black Swan and I thought it was a unique twist. I have yet to see the other two that you listed but I've heard mixed things about Tangled. I kind of wish there would be a stop to remakes of old films or foreign films. There is no originality left and with the movies that are original they're a real hit or miss thing. I honestly think the 80's had the better movies. Easy A, which isn't too recent was a funny movie and it actually made me like Emma Stone who I couldn't stand before seeing the film. Despicable Me was a great animated film that is great for all ages. Not only did my brother love the film but my 23-year old brother loved it as well. Of course, you kind of have to enjoy animated films, comedies and the cheesy kid humor at times. I really haven't seen any other films though.

You said it right. There are no good movies lately. For me a good movie is one that we could watch again after about a year and still enjoy it. Just like some movies of Charles Bronson.
