What do you think of make up?

Make-up - Women apply make-up to enhance their beauty. Girls have their certain style when it comes to make up. Some choose not to wear any or as little as possible, while others make up for these girls, wearing enough in one night to keep cosmetic brands in business for two years.

Light make-up, heavy make-up? Women as well as teenagers love to apply make-up whenever they go out. But it all depends on a heavy or light make-up. Seriously on my opinion, I simply dont like heavy make-up which makes a women so fake and when you get to know them, you find that the one you went out with, make out with is completely not the one you met. I saw one video on youtube that supports me in my statement here. It's quite scary eventually... http://youtube.com/watch?v=p9R8N2pDIDM&feature=related Having make-up is a daily things for women. Is it good for your skin? I think their is some chemicals inside that is not right for the skins along the run, am I right?

Light makeup, of course. Heavy makeup aren't meant for everyday use, however I think it is acceptable if the person is doing opera theatrical act on stage. There's nothing wrong in wearing makeup daily. I work full time, so yes, I wear light makeup. You just have to choose ones that are suitable for your skin, so you won't get irritated.

I wouldn't consider makeup a daily thing for women, as I'm a woman and I rarely wear makeup, as well as many females I know. However, I know many people who wear too much makeup on a daily basis, and I know how bad it is for skin. I can always notice how their skin is full of pimples under all of that makeup. It's important to let your skin breathe, so after wearing makeup it's important to clean your skin properly and moisture it accordingly too. That way even wearing makeup often your skin won't suffer so much. Also there are some kinds of foundation that are made specially to take care of the skin too. I have fair skin, so I usually don't use foundation, but in case of using it, I would prefer one of those products that are not bad for skin.

I have to agree, au naturele is a better option for us women; I personally hate waking up early just to 'make my face up'. All I need to do to prep up is to wash my face, and apply sunblock. I also noticed that those who wear make up on a daily basis looks tragic (very pale) when they skipped their daily routine. Some don't even look like themselves anymore!

Yes, thats right. Women that use to apply make up on daily basic will be very noticeable without their make-up especially if its heavy make-up.

Same here, I dont like heavy make up too. I actually do not put make up on. In fact, I go on a day without even powder. I've never been the type. I'm always the wash n wear type. However, when I do have myself made up, people stare.. long and hard. But a feel good stare. It tells me that I really transformed and people appreciate the way I look when made up. When I do buy make up, I make sure it's hypo allergenic just to be sure.

Good Day! I do wear make but only when I go out and my make up depends on the place and the event. I wear a light make up on school. I wear heavy make up if there an event, modelling, pageant and any event that is night or requires a heavy make up but when I'm not in the mood, I wear a light make up in the said events. Yes. It has an effect in our skin that's why I always remove my make up before sleeping to prevent unwanted effects of those chemicals on make up. :)

Hi there, i didn't like make up, it doesn't suits me, and also it gives irritation rather i don't know. I just apply face powder if i go for any functions thats all. All my friends will go to beauty parlor etc, for cleaning their face etc., but i will never because cosmetics will not adjust to my skin and also i didn't like. I want to be simple as possible. But i will open my hair very rare i will tie it. That is my make up. Have a good day.

I think heavy make up should be avoided if worn on a daily basis. It's not good for the skin because of the chemicals. Light make up is ok especially if the woman works to add color to the skin. However, I noticed that in many malls, salesladies wear heavy make up, maybe they are required to, but if the purpose for the make up is for them to look pleasant, then they are defeating the purpose. I just wondered why. I also wear make up everyday, but only a light blush on and a lip balm. Heavy make up should be worn on night occassions, I guess. But I know of someone who wears heavy make up on a daily basis, ever since we were in college. I asked her why and she says that she feels like she is bare and dull when she goes out without a make up. So for women like her, make up is part of her life already. And I'm telling you, she really wears heavy make up everyday.

I personally do not apply much make-up. Even if I go out, I will just apply some loose powder for the face, blusher on the cheeks and lipstick. I do not spend ages on applying make-up like some ladies do. I prefer to have a natural look. And yes, I think putting too much stuff on one's face will affect it in the long run.

I don't wear make up very often but i do like to wear it. I never wear it heavy though, I feel that women who put heavy make up on are insecure about how they look and its sad because women should feel good about how they look and not have to hide behind a bunch of make up and most of the time too much make up just makes them looks worse and over done.

I don't like makeup. I don't wear makeup, but I understand why women like to wear makeup. Wearing makeup can be hard on your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.

I have never really liked make-up. I felt like I was putting a mask on when I used it when I was younger and it was expected. Now, I don't wear it anymore, haven't in years. One question I get alot is what I did to keep my face looking young. Maybe it is because I never liked caking make-up on and wouldn't wear it if I didn't need to. Meaning at home I didn't wear it to look good for the walls ....lol I do feel that when you use makeup your filling the pores of the skin blocking them able to breathe. Plus with the makeup in those pores make em stretch larger than what they are suppose to be.

Yeah, many teenagers, girls and boys apply make-up nowadays. I don't think many women use heavy make-up on a daily basis though. It's really amazing how heavy and good make-up can really improve a person's face.

make-up is amazing, it can improve a person's face or ruin it. I don't really know that much about putting on make-up, but I really like putting make-up on other people. It's not good to wear it daily though, maybe it can ruin your skin.

I seldom wear make-ups, so do many women around me.As I can remember,I only make up two or three times, when I have to give a show on the stage.I think make-ups are harmful to the skin,no matter how good they clare to be.I'm more asured of my point of view after seeing some women's pale faces after they remove their make-ups.

I saw a girl in the shop yesterday that could not have been older than 13 but had more mascara on than probably all the other women in the store put together. she had to have sat there and kept re-applying it forever! I cannot believe her mom did not tell her how crazy she looked. I am not a fan of lots of make-up. I only wear it like once a month and only for a reason like going out to eat. and then only a little. I believe that is one of the reasons I have such good skin I never cake it up just wash with soap and leave it natural. but then again I spend most of my time at home with kids and cleaning so make-up would look nuts with sweat pants and bleach stained cleaning shirt lol.

i don't really a heavy make up as well... in fact, i hardly do make up unless if i have to go to a special function or a party... otherwise, if it is only to go out on a daily basis, i don't really put o n a make up... and if i do, i will only put it very lightly... as you say, there are chemicals inside the make-up and i don't want to spoil my skin... take care and have a nice day...

I think make-up can be a good way to make yourself look a little better. I tend to think that most people's looks are improved slightly with make-up. I don't mean tons of make-up, because too much would look silly. Personally I don't use a lot, if I wear make-up, it is usually just black eyeliner, eyeshadown and maybe some lipstick if I feel like it. It really depends how I feel though, usually I don't bother, but if it is a special occasion or I am taking pictures, I have to at least have eyeliner on. It's definitely a personal choice. It's really a form or expression/art, so it is very personal. I'm pretty sure that most make-up these days is safe and toxin free, there are some things that can irritate your skin, but simply washing your face good afterwards would help with that.

ya everyone in this world is too much worried about their looks. So they do make ups. So do light make up while others do it heavy. Women are likely to do more make up then men. Also they spent lot of money on make up and their looks. Happy new year.

I feel like I wear a lot of makeup, but it's mostly because of the eyeshadow. I honestly don't like heavy make up. I think when girls/women wear their makeup so heavy it looks like cake, that's not attractive. But, some guys like that look because they are deceived by how a girl really looks. I'll admit, I don't like going out of the house with absolutely no makeup on, just because I have an uneven skin tone on my face. However, I wash my face every morning and every night, so that way my skin has time to breath. Plus, I don't wear makeup every day. If I just have to go out to the store, I'll maybe throw some face powder on but that's a rare thing. I always put makeup on for work since I work in a hair salon and I feel like I have to look the part. I don't think girls should be exposed to makeup at a young age otherwise they feel like it's always going to be a part of them.

Makeup should only be applied when there are special occasions because the chemicals in it are not so good to our skin. But there are makeups that you can apply daily which only enhances some of your features. Those that are not really big deals when you apply them. I think mascara and eyeliner can be applied everyday but not foundation and blush ons.

I want to start with a question that will try to give my own answers(maybe wrong or incomplete): Why choose a girl / woman to makeup? - wants to impress (rebellious, extravagant) - wants to gain more confidence in it(confidence, non-acceptance) - wants to cover facial imperfections(inferiority complex) - wants to fit in a group or are influenced by environment (light influence) - wants to be fashionable, clothing to match the mood or season (smartly, rebellious, superficiality,"as more important than content" if everyone does it, why not me?") - I emphasize personality makeup (egocentric, extravagant, weird) - makeup becomes a common and already no longer comes to look in the mirror this morning.I believe that most often comes from rebellious makeup, natural state of non-acceptance of each of us,trying to stand out not by the physical and inner qualities ... Sure, the goal is to be liked, to be loved to be accepted by others. But is this the best way? Did everything you stand? And do not put into account that many of makeup and creams on the market are not as good as ... and manufacturers say the effects are going to see later for little girls who start small to put chemicals on your face.
