Sailormoon like you never seen before(must see for anime fans)

I hope there are some anime fans here because this his History!!!
Next to Dragon Ball z, I think Sailormoon is one of the longest running anime. It was popular to girls because it the characters are pretty and its an all female superhero group, Boys liked it because it started the Japanese schoolgirl pantyshots thingie in anime.
This anime is exported in USA during 1994, 2 companies are interested to gets its license to America. The 2 companies are DiC and Saban.
[b]DiC just wanted dub the anime in English and air it to America.

[i]Saban on the other hand is more ambitious,Instead of dubbing the anime, They created a Cartoon version of the show, Yes an American cartoon version of a legendary anime.
Toei animation, the company that owns the franchise likes DiC's idea of just dubbing the anime into English and they rejected the Cartoon remake idea of Saban company.[/i]
Saban felt bad because they created an episode of the Cartoon already....

OMG...I have shivers going down my spine after watching this, and it isn't the good kind either. This is actually my first time hearing or even seeing this but I'm sure it'll give me nightmares. I can only thank whatever deity out there that didn't expose me to this junk when I was a kid. I wonder if they got sued for this? This is just as bad as that awful cartoon version of The Legend of Zelda.

I'd gladly pay that collector to keep that episode to himself! And I bet those anime adaptions of those shows are a million times better than the American attempt with this Sailor Moon. At least we'll know that the versions of Ironman and Powerpuff Girls will be better.

I think Japan also created an anime version of Transformers and fans like it I think. There are rumors that Japan plans to make anime versions of X-men and other American superhero show too. You are right about japan remaking somethign western, they make it better. While when the west trying to westernize something Japanese its unbearable. At my response to Elinsporter (see above) China attempt to make live action sequel of Sailormoon...I think China also have their own Live action dragonball too.

Isnt it awesome that it only manage to have one episode and never had a V debut. The only episode of this show I think is in the hands of a collector and he wants to keep it for him self, I guess he dont want people to have nightmares out of it.I guess Japan have their revenge because they created anime versions of Ironman and Powerpuff girls.

Oh man, that gave me a really good laugh. It's 3:30am here and it woke me up. Watched it a second time just to laugh at it again. 
I can't believe how cheesy that is. The girls look like they're in a make up Barbie commercial and they're so happy. The girls turned into real sailors when they sailed with that big cresent thing. For the love of ____, they're fighting space ships. 
That thing should have never seen the light of day, hahaha...
I guess they were trying to make that proposed show appeal to young American teenage girls but it's just so cheesy.

Can you imagine if this Cartoon version happened? Its too much Americanization to the core. From what i heard they plan to make it half cartoon, half live action, Its kinda weird to see a Sailormoon without the iconic meatball hair. After watching this preview, The Toei animation said no. Author of Sailormoon thinks its an insult. When I saw the Sailor Jupiter in a wheelchair I was like...

lets be happy that Americanization didnt happen and the Awful Hollywood Dragonball movie wont have a sequel.
Are you ready for more torture? In China a producer who grew up as a sailormoon fan who cant move on because the series ended decided to make his unofficial sequel. A Live action sequel is created in China. It continues the lives of the Sailormoon and her friends when theyw ere already some middle aged housewives on their 40's and they transform back into teenagers when they transform.

Anyway I found those 2 videos by accident..Not really a big fan of Sailormoon, I only watched it for the Pantyshots but Its one of my respected Anime next to Dragonball and voltest V.
