I am looking to see if anyone knows of any home schools that are really good and actually teach you'r children something. I have a little boy and he has a mo'hawk and it's against the school dress code to have you'r hair like that and I am not wanting to cut it off just for him to be able to go to school, this is a free country and if my son can not go to school with his hair the way he likes it then I will just teach him at home if I can find a school that is actually worth spending the time in. Can anyone please help me?

Send him to another school, not all schools are as strict. My son is 6 and loves choosing his haircut, he always has a Mohawk with some sort of pattern either side of it. The school my son goes to is entirely acceptant of his haircut as it does not affect his ability to learn. But i know of other schools in the area who don't give this sort of privilege and actually exclude children until their hair grows out. I totally agree with you, Why do head teachers think a haircut is going to affect a child's ability to learn?? Its ridiculous!! They seem to forget that while they moan on and exclude a young child because of a haircut they are making that child lose out on valuable education. I would change your sons school, find out all the information you can and obviously check out their specifications for dress code. If all else fails i suppose you could home school but like other people have said you son will be left unsocial and may not learn everything he could have at school. good luck!!
