how to get PR rank for my blog?

i have joined some sites that pay me bucks for just giving reviews to their products. they also want me to post links to my blog but they need PG rank. i know its hard to attain even the lowest PR1. i just don't understand the mechanics.is there anyone here who had experienced applying for Page rank?
