Awesome Kong signs with WWE.

Bit of old news, but Awesome Kong has signed with WWE. I do wonder how far she'll be allowed to go because she doesn't fit the mold of a typical diva. Still, an Awesome Kong versus Beth Phoenix match would be epic. And also just throw her in there against Gail Kim on Superstars randomly as well while you're at it and give it about ten minutes. I just hope that Kong is not a sideshow attraction akin to a Hornswoggle or something along those lines. She could really breath some life into the Divas division as being something different. Still I think that as far as divas go, Kong against Phoenix would be a money match, if they set it up right.

Looks to be good, but she dpesnt seem to fit the mold of a WWE diva you know, thin and cant wrestle but maybe, this will sort it out. Maybe her and Beth Phoenix can become a tag team..

The first vignette that they aired on Monday, has me intrigued. Hopefully that is a sign that they're going to have Awesome Kong be Awesome Kong and not, lets say a female version of the Great Khali. Or the 2011 version of Bertha Faye, Queen of the Trailer Park. And there's your obscure mid 1990s WWE reference for this post. Then again it is too soon to tell what's going to happen. Kong or whatever name she's under, could be a draw due to the fact that she's something different. Hopefully WWE does not bungle this. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

beth phoenix vs awesome kong was the first thing that came to mind when i read the title of your post. both are impressive in terms of strength and both have decent wrestling skills so i think it is safe to assume tht we will have an awesome kong - beth phoenix mathc come mania time. the build up should be great and we can throw in one, two, hell, maybe three or four divas in the mix as well but eventually it will all come down to awesome kong and beth phoenix slugging it out in mania.

Missed this one, but it turns out that Kong missed debuting at Wrestlemania. It does appear that she's debuting soon. There is a blink and you miss it moment on RAW, where they showed a vignette Kong decapitated a Barbie doll. Which is a symbolism for all of the divas that can't wrestle. I personally am so excited and happy that Kong is finally apart of WWE. Her last days in TNA got very stale and she was just old news there. I really hope that WWE will use her well. I mean they could really make a monster out of her so lets hope they play the cards right. I for one am sick of the cookie cutter thin, talentless bimbo divas that WWE keeps hiring.
Agreed with you that Beth vs. Kong would be amazing. No need for even a title match for that to be memorable. I also would love to see both Natalya and Tamina work with her in the future. So lets just hope that this brings new fresh power to the so called divas division.

I do hope breaths a lot of new life into the divas division. There needs to be a change. I think for at least half of the womens division, if you fired them and replaced them with generic blondes off of the street, would anyone really notice the difference?
