How come when people see a young woman with an old guy...

They immediately think the girl's a "GOLD DIGGER".
Yes, it's fairly common but I don't think that in this day and age, people should still think that way. It's a pop culture thing but it's too 80's/90's. We have rich young women today who prefer older men and who are we to say that they're just after the old guy's money? It may be the other way around too you know?
So, are you part of the prejudicial zeitgeist or are you open-minded enough about these kinds of relationships?

pft..i see more of the reverse nowadays..young guys looking for an older woman to be "sugar mommy".
i don't care honestly..it's their lives.
i would only care if it were a relative and they were pretty clear money's all they wanted,and they really couldn't afford that type of setup.

I don't think they always do but I do see where that happens at times. Some very steady and respectable young women would rather be with an older man because they get more interesting conversation and not immaturity and lack of respect. I think in this day and age a woman can chose for herself and doesn't care one way or the other.

I am open minded to those kinds of things. Though I have to say that the girl should be in her mid-20's at the least. I dont mind if the guy is 50 years her senior. Also, it would have to be common knowledge that the girl is flat broke, and the guy is filthy rich to be able to put labels. Then again we really dont know the whole story or even the real story.
What I cant take is that the girl be under 25. That age range for me is a bit too young to even get married. I mean it should be the age where the person is enjoying, no matter if you're male or female.
Then again, that's just me.^_^

Meh, i think that they are gold digger. If that old man indeed is knowledgeable, and have good personality, the most relationship i can think of is admirer.
This depends on the look of that girl, if I spot that young girl is wearing cheesy clothings, having heavy makeup all over, then she must be a gold digger IMO. Establishing a relationship with someone way older must have a mature and stable foundation, but these are just my opinion, feel free to critique them.
