Best 5k time in cross country or just running in general

this guy has a 5:00 flat mile time. That's my goal - This runner (unknown) has a 5-flat mile time, or at least thats what the clock says. Thats my goal for my mile this year.

My best 5k time is 18:58. I'm hoping to bring to reach my goal time of 16:50 within the next 4 years. My best mile time is 5:something. This spring I'm going to try for a low 5 minute mile time. Does anyone here do distance running? If so what's your best 5k time? Best mile time? Any goals? I'm interested to know what other people think because I'm pretty into running.

That's pretty fast! I don't have any hopes of every getting that fast, as I am already over 50 and only been running for a couple of years. I have four medals in my age group though! I am still trying to hit a 30 minute 5K which I have only done in my pracitce and not in a race. However, I am noticing that my time on my easy or long runs is getting better. So I figure if my "slow" time is getting faster I'm in good shape to do better at the next race! (for an old lady anyway!)
