My kid complains all day that she is toooo tired to do this and that, she has dark circles under her eyes, but yet she lying in bed talking to herself every night for hours. It's like she can't shut her brain off and relax. She tend to more hyper the more tired she gets. Baths don't help, turning on a movie does not help ( she just forces herself to stay awake to watch and then will restart it ) reading does help, yelling doesn't help. What do I do, I need a mental break at night, the day in and day out whining and crying and nonsense is driving me crazy

I know how you feel. My 2yr old does the same thing. She keeps coming out of her room or caling us to come into her room. All we do is stay consistant and do the same thing every night. We put heri n bed and sometimes ignore her to see if she will put herself to bed. If she is taking naps in the afternoon try to eliminate the nap. We also have been taking the kids outside after my husband gets home from work to get fresh air. I have noticed that fresh air makes them tired. Hope this helps.
