My daughters driving instructor told my daughter that she is ready to go for her driving test.So a few days ago a friend of my husbands who has dealings in cars as he has his own car dealer buisness, came here with a car and let us have it really cheap, as he is a good friend. When my daughter came home i asked her if she liked the car on the drive and she was asking whos it was, with that we asked her if she had one like that would she drive it, so she drove it on our drive as well as another private area and she said yes.We handed her the keys and said its yours then to her and her little face was beaming with a smile from ear to ear.Now its all insured for her ready for when she passes her test, but in the mean time we have insured it for her to drive it with a person who has passed their test, so she can take it for a spin.

Your daughter is so lucky. She has got a car before she passes her test. It's a good encouragement for u, so that she's motivated to pass her driving test. IT's a good chance for her to hone her driving skills so that she won't be nervous on the actual test date. Your husband has got a good friend, so lucky of your family to meet him.

Yay for you on the nice deal! Yay for your daughter on her new wheels! I bet that smile will last some time especially once she has passed her test & her new found freedom.

WOW!! she's so lucky!! Got a car before she even take her test?? lol =D IT's a good encouragement for her though, so that she can concentrate on taking the test, knowing her gift is ready for her.. lol =D Too bad, cars over here are too expensive, and not much people are willing to fork out that amount, to buy a car, even they are family members.. lol =D

Great parents! I just wonder what you would've done had she said that she didn't like the car, and wouldn't drive it. You know some kids are so ambitious about their first car :)

Wow! It sure is a nice feeling when you are given your very own car to just take it around for a spin often. I am 19 now and still i don't even have my own bike. I don't even know when i will get it! Getting a vehicle is like getting freedom if you ask me. It shows that your parents believe in you for something. And it's also a responsibility! Cheers!

I remember when my daughter bought her first car- she was so excited and learned much new responsibility that came along with that. She had already been working almost two years so it was nice that she could get around on her own and I no longer needed to be able to pick her up and take her to work each day.

That was nice of you all to do that for your daughter, I wished I got a new car when I got my license..haha. Instead I had to drive my grandpa's big gar cars everywhere..lol. I'm sure she'll pass her test if the instructor thinks she's ready...Good Luck..

Wow, you kinda win at being parents. I can imagine how extatic your daughter was. I would be on Cloud nine for a very long time (though not about a car - I"m a bit afraid of driving. But I imagine my reaction would be similar if I was gifted a laptop ) Again, you win at being parents!

Wow! I can imagine how excited your daughter must have been when you handed her the keys and announced that the car was hers. You are good to have her driving with a licensed person before she passes her driving test. Good luck to her.

What a cool thing to do, JugsJugs. I bet your daughter is on Cloud Nine. Let's hope she passes her test the first time. I hope you get to join her out on one of her first excursions.
