Do you personally know anyone affected by the flooding in Queensland?

I grew up on several different rivers, including the Mighty Mississippi, so major flooding during certain seasons and even flash flooding has been a part of my life since I was young. The flooding I've experienced has compared to the Queensland flooding, once and only once. The sad news came to me that a dear friend of 15 years has lost his sister, niece, and nephew in the flooding. They were the three in Grantham whose car was swept away by the floodwaters. His brother-in-law and one nephew survived, clinging desparately to trees for several hours. Hearing this saddened me on a level that I cannot describe. do you know anyone personally who has suffered great loss due to the floods in Queensland?
