Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to have a rainbow effect on EVERY site I visit. I believe it's about time to replace this outdated monitor.

Greetings! Yeah. I guess so. You have to replace you're monitor or try to check it again tomorrow if it still appears like that. Wow! I think it looks cute, pretty colors. cool! but still if you're monitor is not working well, you must replace it. I also had a problem with my monitor before, the monitor shows only half of the screen. I'm having a hard time mylotting! haha! Its just half? I can't see well the photos I only see their body, not their face. I have to drag first the windows before I can see them but I must point the mouse first at it but I'm having a hard time I can't see the pointer so I must try and try until I got it. I thought my monitor is already malfunctioning but after a week, it returned back to normal. :)

@Bianca - have you tried adjusting your monitor with the 'on-screen menu' or if it is a really 'steam-driven' monitor then there are some knobs at the back. It might help to extend the life of your screen for a week or two. I wish you were close bye me as I have a 17" and a 19" CRT monitor you could have for free.

ahhh, no... mine started doing a "flash dance" but I got a very nice flat screen for under $200, so it may well be that its time to replace it!

Yeah it might be time to get a new monitor. But at least your monitor gave you a bit of a warning before it is going bad. One day, my old monitor was working perfectly fine and then it just went kaput one day to say the very least. So that was rather inconvenient. Never had that happen to my monitor though. Just had mine just die and refuse to transmit a signal. That is frustrating to say the least. Still might be time to trade in for a new model.

Yea, now how to convince my job that they should do it is another question.

For the past few days I am having huge problem with my monitor. It seems I can't see all colors in it. The only colors that are visible are blue, green black and white. I don''t see red anywhere. The red appears blackish in my computer. This 'add comment' button is not red in my monitor. It's completely black. I am loosing all interest in doing anything in my computer. I am going to save some money to buy a new computer I just spend some money on repairing this piece of junk a few months before. I wasn't not ready at all for so sudden break down. I think this is going to cost me more if I use it any longer. I should immediately get rid of this junk.

Might just be an adjustment problem but it could also be time to get a new screen. They're not all that expensive any longer.

Maybe you should get new one, but maybe not, because your monitor is "special" ;D

It's a work computer so It's up to management to replace it. Of course they're pretty "special" too.
