Do Superheroes really need to get rid of their classic costumes?

I know This category is kinda obscure but i'm really into this and I will take risk for the sake of talking about a topic I really wanted to talk about.
through the years many Superheroes changed their costumes to follow a trend or Just to look fresh. Some of the changes were embraced by fans while others caused an outrage.
One of the Superheroes who changed costumes a lot is Ironman but his fans never noticed it because the changes are not that drastic. He is evolving slowly in the eyes of the fans. Last year there is a controversy with Wonderwoman, Fans always loved her sexy outfit but DC decided to cover her up.
Yes now she is wearing leggings and a Jacket. Many fans liked the new look because its realistic but many fans are very angry because they think female superheroes are not supposed to wear pants and she is a character from a fantasy world.
What do you think of costume changes with superheroes?

Some heroes need/needed a change because of the poor color schemes. Dare devil's red and yellow made me think the artist might have been blind.
others needed a change because...well, Robin's old get up basically sucked. This version looked a lot better than the original.

oh yeah the original Robin Costume indeed kinda sucked, Thats why many people dont Wanted any incarnation of Robin in movies and videogames.

Personally I think it's a little rude to change someones original design and vision for what they thought up. I don't understand why they don't just come out with new superheroes and cover them up. It's like the only imagination people have now a days are superficial. They need to borrow ideas all the time. Besides Wonderwoman is awesome and that's why she can wear what she does. Nobody made her up thinking she had to be realistic for TV. I think the older superheroes should stay their classic-selves.
