There are many reasons why Paypal is the most popular website of it's kind. I think a huge reason is because so many sites accept it as a form of payment whereas other similar websites may not be accepted as payment by many other websites.

No references required. No minimum deposit. No credit checks. No long journey to get there. No unfriendly staff. In other words, it isn't like a bank! I could have listed a lot more negative items regarding banks but you have the point?

The idea is very good, it's very convenient and it works like a charm. Those are the reasons I like Paypal anyway, and I am assuming others feel the same :)

hi, i think because its a worldwide accessible, thats why its now became a popular. and maybe this paypal is more trusted than others.

the reason i think is Paypal started earlier than anyother payment processing site, infact most of the payment processing site we use nowadays are some what copy of paypal. since it is introduced first it become famous and lots of people are using that.
