Good news for Dada fans. Kochi franchise wants to book him for the forth coming IPL-4. B.C.C.I. has given their green signal for the deal if other franchises do not have any objection for the same. If everything goes well then die hard fans of Dada, and believe me there are plenty, will be able to see him in action very soon. Knowing Saurabh he will fire from all cylinders at least to teach a lesson or two to Shahrukh and company. How do you react to this?

Well,if he does sign for Kochi and decides to play, its certainly a good news. It would be exciting to see Kochi take on Kolkata at Kolkata. Which team will the Kolkata people support then? Their favorite Dada will be in opposition.

Any news if Dada is keen to join Kochi after all this drama ?? Wonder why Kochi never bid for him in the first place ? It will also be interesting to see if Saurav will react to playing under a younger captain. If Dada is still fit to bowl slow medium pace, he will be worth much more than his bidding price. What i fear is that: all this controversy will put tremendous pressure on him & his franchise. Can you imagine the headlines if Dada fails in the first two matches !!

Dada will have much more at stake than just money. The qway we know Dada he is not among those who will easily give up. He will have to prove a lot to the franchises who have written him off. We can not forget the way he made his come back in Indian team and all his distractors had to retract their views on him. Whether Dada is keen to join or not, Kochi could not have approached B.C.C.I. without his consent.

I think his role will be more of a mentor. If he plays and plays well, the pressure will be on Kolkata. They will have to perform well or face severe criticism from fans and pundits.

this news sounds better than mumbai indians reaching the finals. hmmm now if dada plays for kochi, then i wont mind next time when mumbai thrashes the KKR team. ofcourse kochi has only one iconic player in the form of laxman .no wonder they opted for dada. as my friends said here,i would be waiting for the day a kochi vs KKr match at eden gardens when dada sends the ball crashing to the boundary

Thank you star. you appear to be equally strong follower of Dada as I am. Let us all wait for that match on Eden Garden more than a world cup match between India and Pakistan.

Yes it is indeed a great news but we have to wait to celebrate until he is signed in crossing all hurdles on the way.

The news is on Times of India to day on front page that Kochi franchise has approached B.C.C.I. to book Saurav and that B.C.C.I. has no objection in the deal if other franchises does not have any objection. Other franchises can stop the deal as any capped player has to go through the hammer and purchased through open bidding only.

Was just checking cricinfo.com which are also updating all IPL squads everyday. So far they havent added Ganguly's name to the Kochi squad list. Though i hope he do play, even though i am from Delhi, i always liked his aggressive captaincy. I hope he can still play a role in IPL. anyway whichever team he joins he can still guide the youngsters

It is really a good news for Dada himself and the fans also...I always had this feeling that dada would make it to some or the other team and Kochi...good to see him being snapped by Kochi.

Thank you sajeev, As I said earlier I am also a big fan of Saurabh. I like his free hitting particularly lifting spinners as well as fast baller with equal ease in front of the wicket for effortless six. He will definitely work hard to prove his point to all these franchises who ignored him.
