Hi, I am big into taking pictures, especially of my pets & nature, and I was wondering if you know of any websites that will buy photography from me? Photography is a big thing in my life & I have always liked taking pictures.

I know that iStockphoto does pay for photos, but they have some very very high standards for their photographs, and that's why their images are so good. I've tried on three separate occasions, and each time I've been declined, and I consider myself a decent photographer. You should consider them though, iStockphoto does really great stuff :)

Hey if you find a site that is promising and is simple to use and they give you a direct yes or no and cash or check, without going through so much legal process then be sure to let me know. I will do the same in return if I find such a site. Thanks

I sell my photos on microstock sites. iStockPhoto is one of the microstock agencies, but, like LCplHitman said, it does have extremely high standards and you will have to submit a portfolio before they will accept any photos for selling. But no reason to get discouraged, because there are other popular sites you can try. Here are two great articles with tips and links on selling microstock: www.photosecrets.com/sell-photos-microstock.html www.dphotojournal.com/sell-photos-online/ I recommend reading these articles and visiting some of the sites to see if stock photograpy is for you. You always retain the copyright to your photos and the agency protects it. You can sell the same photo on multiple sites, unless you grant one agency exclusive rights. I have submitted photos and had some rejected by one site, but accepted by another. I have even sold photos on one site that were not accepted by another. Good luck.
