My mother passed away in 1988, but I own our family farm and every spring my girls and I go mushrooming, something I always did with my mom and she did with my oldest for a few years while she was still able. Anyway, every spring when we go we are very much aware of 'grandma' with us as we walk the property. My mom was a great cook and I learned a lot from her that I have passed on to my girls and my granddaughters, saying 'grandma did this'. The memories are always there.

How can I forget my mom and all the special moments we had and still have and cherish. My mom is practically my world, without her I wouldn't have any memories at all. I have memories from her taking me two school my first day and entering the cafeteria with me and arguing with the lady in the cashier because she wanted to get me cereal that was not available for student only staff members. Every Halloween, when she would do my make up and dress me in these beautiful outfits. How she cared for me when I was sick and how she still does. She has devoted her life in raising me and teaching whats wrong and right. The one thing I am I love is the fact that she is still with me, and that she can see her grandchildren so that we can all now have new memories to cherish.

I am so very lucky to have the mother I was blessed with. I see so many people that have mothers that hindered their lives. Be it with mental illness, abuse, shame, etc. My mother has always been an excellent person. Not perfect of course, but one of the best mothers a girl could ask for. I will remember her forever. And I'm lucky to still have her. I hope that I can keep her for many years to come without having to draw from memories. I make sure to call her daily and tell her that I love her. Mothers. Where would we be without them?

My mom is my bestfriend :) My parents are separated. When I was still studying, most of the time we are financially broke, but Mama will always find a way to support my education. When she decided to live with her new partner, Mama will still be the one to do my laundry, clean my room and do other things for me. Whenever I have problems and sentiments, we just meet and talk about it over a merienda. If I have problems with my family, she is there to listen. Whenever I am financially broke, she always find a way to support and help me. There is one time that she would even travel late at night, just to give me the money I needed because she is afraid I might not be able to make it to work. I love my mom, very very much! Though in the Chinese horoscope, it say tiger and monkey are not compatible, we still compliment each other ;)

Hi. Yes, I do have a lot of fond moments with my Mom. How can I forget? She was the one doing my make up when I had a role playing activities during school programs. She cooked my favorite snack which is ginataan (she taught me how to cook). She was the one who pinned ribbons on me when i get commendation every after school year ends. Not only that, she was the one who always the first one I run to whenever I have problems. She raised my eldest daughter and she's the one who is always there for me even if I keep on hurting her feelings. She has been a good Mom to me and she still is a good Mom to me and a good grandma to all of her grandchildren. My Mom means a lot to me. And , only three days from now (Jan. 25) she will be turning 65 already. I love her so much! I owe everything to her.
