A small mistake on my debit card

I sign up with ING Direct and deposit some money there to earn some interest. There is a program for me to earn $50 bonus, if I activate the Debit card, and I also make 3 purchases from that card. So, today, I try to make a small purchase from starbucks, and it was declined by the cashier. When I got home, and call the 1- 800 number to ask why, after the lady check out my information, and she told me there was a small mistake made by their staff, and she apologize for it. I didn't pursue the matter further, I just want her to correct that mistake, so I can make a purchase later. Gosh, I hate these mistakes, which I heard so many good words about this online banking institution, now, it just start with a bad impression of it.

hi, yes, that is banking so even a very small mistakes they input, it will affect all the information you have, and of course you cant purchase you want because of that mistake. and that's really a bad impression of it.

Here at my country this "small mistakes" occure everywhere. And I always think "How do they get this mistakes against me, and not against them? Mm?
