Do's and Don't 's before taking exam

my friends keep telling me that when our exams is near they always tell me do this and don't that..oh no. but I think It's effective like don't study read/review your notes 1 hour before the exam, do eating chocolate while studying because it can make your mind work/activate. So what's yours you can share it here in mylot.. thanks

When there are coming exams, I will study the day before. It makes my mind more refreshed if i studied and memorized everything in less than 24 hours before the exam. I prefer studying before I go to bed because what I memorized will be easily remembered. I prefer not eating anything while studying, it just distracts me while I am chewing and munching. When i was memorizing some kinds of something, like kinds of animals and the like, I won't enumerate it all over and over I again because I am using the selectivity feature of my brain. I will just browse my notes and books inside my mind and Wolah! I memorized them all. My friends used to tease me as a computer because i will just have to read a note and after a few minutes, I memorized them all. I am always studying an hour or even a minute before the exam. I did not believed that it can cause mental block. Besides, I am not really using notes, I am just using my mind to review again.

you see that is a positive person who knows what he's doing.thats the type of person everyone should be more like..life would be so much easier if that where the case

Eating chocolate to activate mind? Sorry friend i don't think so While a student long back, i used to get up at 4am, took bath pray, and then start my study in a cool, undisturbed room, my sweet mom, used to give cup of rich tea, it helped, thank you so much for this post, happy posting cheerrs kalyani

I don't go near books and study materials the day before the exam. I try my best to keep me out of stress. I personally think that reviewing materials the day before your exam doesn't do much help. You need to prepare for exam and that takes some time. When it's a semester exam it will be based on the things that you've studied during that whole semester. Reviewing the materials 1 hour before exam will only increase the stress. It is better to read nothing at all and enter the hall in a calm mind than to make a last minute review and then going to exam in high alert. When our mind is disturbed or filled with anticipations, the performance degrades considerably. I don't want to do that. So the best strategy is to study during the entire semester and then enter the examination hall with a relaxed state of mind. We should try to learn while we study and try to find the interrelation among different things. That forms a net that is difficult to break, even in the serious atmosphere of the examination hall.

Actually i don't think anybody can give you a foolproof method that can get you through the exams as everybody has their own individual, unique styles and its not necessary that the said style will work for you! My personal preference is don't go near a book an hour or so before the exam!! It sticks in your mind and hinders the thought process!! Also eat a good meal before the exam and get a good night's rest!! This is to energize your body and prepare it!! Activates your neurons and your hormones so you can produce more!! Last but not least stick to your own method and do do drastic changes in it just before an exam!!!! You will certainly flunk!!

Make sure that you do lots of studying days before. The day of you just want to check some things and be confident and ready. make sure you get up and eat a good breakfast. Do some running if you can this will help keep your mind focused on the task at hand. Make sure you are comfortable before taking the test.
