How will you consider that she's/he's your 'best friend?'

for me best friend as you consider it the most trusted person in your life. whom you know since childhood or during schooldays. She/he will be there always, no matter what. Shared ups and down in life, seen the worst time in your life but still they are still on your side. a straight forward person who she/he wants help you to be a better person.

I'm not even sure when to call someone my best friend.. Some people call a person their best friend when they're always together. I agree with your description of a best friend though..I don't really have a best friend now since they are far away from me, we study in different school and only contact each other sometimes...

Having a best friend to call is not always to be there physically. In your heart she/he is there for you always. I, myself have a best friend whose miles apart from me.Though we're apart, we see to it we still have a communication to each other. updating our lives etc.,something like that.It it a nice feeling having a friend, not just for happy moments,also during your darkest time. You should try having one. Goodluck :)

You can't decide whether a particular person is your best friend until you fall in deep trouble. But you don't have to invite trouble to judge who is your best friend. Time tells us everything. All we need to do is to wait until the person around us show their true colors. When you are having difficult time most of your friends will stand back. But some of them may stand by you through thick and thin. For example, our parents always stand by our side even when there is no hope. The best friend should not be helping you. We can't expect help from all individuals in every situation. As a human beings we have very limited capabilities. But a true friend will just stand by your side and feel your situation with a high degree of empathy. Your best friend always seems to know what's best for you. May be that's why he's called your best friend.

A best friend is somebody who has established their loyalty and love through a lot of trials. A best friend is trustworthy, cheers you up when you are down, and helps bring out the best in you. People who can count at least one best friend amongst their acquaintances are rich indeed.

A friend is a friend when he's there when you need him most. Someone who will listen and make you feel everything will be alright. Someone who will fight for you, who's not afraid to tell you're wrong, who will depend you if you're right, someone who loves you in all of your shortcomings, faults and who will never abandon the right to be called as your friend!

if that person and you can trust each other and keep the friendship until the end of time that is a best friend. if you can depend in that person in the hard times and you will also look out for them in the hard times that is a best friend. if you have so much in common and you get along in many ways then that is your best friend. A best friend is someone who is like your sibling without connection of blood. A best friend is someone who is always there for you. someone who will never betray you.

Well, my idea of a best friend is a person who you hang out with a lot physically and is always there for you emotionally.
It's a person which you can trust with most of your secrets and you can talk with to let him/her know that you feel bad, and vice-versa. It's the person that doesn't say no to most of the things you ask her/him for. It's the person that goes to school with you on foot almost everyday (in my case xD). And it's the person that motivates you the most when you're feeling down or when something went wrong.
That to me it's the definition of a best friend.
