Do you have the experience to go on a holiday travel that run your wallet dry? I haven't done that. One of my friend, she always spend her money to the last dime when go on a vacation abroad. She said: "what's the use of a year hard work? of course to enjoy every penny of it". Do you agree with her?

Oh, I am totally against this for sure. I'm all about saving money. And not blowing every penny you have. There might be a time where you need a little extra and thus if its not there, there are just a lot of problems. Sure there will be need to be times where you spoil yourself but really, there is no need to foolishly spend every dime you own.

I went on a trip to the Seychelles and accommodation I booked wasn´t good enough for my ex-boyfriend. We stayed somewhere more upmarket so by the end of our trip we were running out of money. I exchanged one bank note so we could visit a notable forest. In the Maldives I spent double the money that I had planned. Traveling overseas at least once a year is worth the money in my opinion.

Well if I go on travel, I always set aside some amount for that travel but not to point of having nothing more left. I think I can always enjoy the travel without spending so much. Indeed we need some ways to have a long break from our busy schedule and we did that by traveling but it does not mean we should spend every penny we have worked hard for a year just for that particular travel. I don't think it is wise.

Yes salonga, I already told her it's not a wise thing to do but she said she want to enjoy her money. Thanks for your comment, good day.

I don't agree with her idea at all although when I'm in a vacation I try to enjoy it as much as possible and money is almost always attached to having a good time. Almost anything can be bought by money; foods, places, events, even people. I saw this person on eBay trying to sell her virginity there, I mean that's just crazy. And to top it all off, she doesn't look like the type to do that. What I'm trying to say with all these is, we need money and we can't just spend it all during a holiday vacation. We also need to save up and think of our future.

Hi frontvisions, I agree with you. There's so many thing we need in our life and we can't only live for a holiday. Thanks, I really appreciate your answer.

No, I budget for holidays and save for them all through the year so I know I can afford them. That way I enjoy them more somehow. But I guess different people do this differently, I can certainly understand your friend's point of view as well, it just doesn't work for me personally.

Thanks puccagirl, I know she's a rare kind of girl, and maybe because she's almost 40 and stay single, she doesn't have to worry about anything.
