What are your preference in starting a date?

Valentine's Day is a day that makes me laugh. I find it one of the most entertaining days to people watch. Majority of people are walking around in red or pink, hitting the salons to get their hair and nails done, and the boys are shuffling around trying to find the perfect stuffed bear and flowers to make their date smile. If you go out to eat on Valentine's Day from my observation most people look uncomfortable. I think people that celebrate it the most are new loves. I for one used to love that day. I liked getting cute gifts from my boyfriend. It just seems like the standard thing to do when younger. Now that I am a little bit older ( late 20's) I prefer a different sort of Valentine's Day. Last year we went to a pub, got some burgers, and watched hockey. I wore green. It was awesome to celebrate it with my husband, relax, and not feel pressured to fall into the Valentine's Day hype.
