I have been taking vitamin capsules for some years now, as supplement to the natural sources. I take multivitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, as recommended by my doctor. With too much work and stress at the work place, taking the supplments has been very helpful for me.

As said in the above responses, If you finds it difficult to include all vitamins in your daily diet, you definitely need to take vitamin tablets... Nothing can be better than what nature gives us... On the other hand, if we do have a balanced diet, taking vitamin tablets will make our body do all the work to get rid of excess stuff, other than that, I don't think there is any real harm in taking vitamin tablets but better don't make it a habit. On a long term approach, better consult a dietitian and get your daily diet balanced according to your needs and tastes. Hope this helped...

I think taking in fruits and vegetables is much better than taking supplements or vitamins. Fresh is always better- but if it's hard to get those healthy food, the supplements are more practical to intake.. I don't really have faith in those though.

Vitamin supplements are here because we cannot get the full daily recommended amount from natural foods. That i came to know from the doctors and health magazines. They are safe to use because they are approved by BFAD. They wouldn't be approved for selling if it will have adverse effects to the body.

Anything That is Natural is always Good for Health . Though these vitamin Tablets that are made artificially helps your body to absorb the necessary vitamin needed , they should always be taken as a supplement only and we need to leave our body to process the natural vitamins ,the way it would process . It is always advisable to take vitamin and protein rich diet rather than going for medicines , for a healthy life.

Hi mukhtar, Vitamin supplements are not necessary if one has a balanced diet. Moreover, some vitamins may actually poison the system if taken excessively. One should consider these things when talking vitamin supplements. It is always wise to consult a doctor before taking them. There's no substitute for natural foods as sources of vitamins for the body.
