I prefer watercolor of acrylic. Watercolor is not a good choose if you mess up alot but, the vibration of color for watercolor gives great affect. It really is just a matter of preference.

I wouldn't call myself a master but I have used both watercolor and acrylic quite a bit over the past year. I generally prefer watercolor as it is less messy and doesn't require as much set up time so I end up using them more, especially for sketching. Acrylic is definitely easier to make corrections with, I found it a little harder to control but that could just be me. It's really up to your style. :)

I prefer to paint with acrylic. As you can't make a correction if you make a mistake for the watercolor painting. However, if you want to change something for your acrylic painting, then you just need to cover more acrylic and this problem will be solved. I love China

I have to say acrylic. I think it is more vivid than watercolors. You can add much more detail, but it is a bit harder to work with.

Watercolors are not a forgiving medium. Acrylics you can paint over, but once color is on the paper for a watercolor you either have to adjust to that color, be happy with where it is or just tear it up and start again. Having said that, and having used both, I like watercolors.
