Do you have problems opening interesting discussions?

Hi myLotters! As a new myLot user it can be hard to open good discussions. You have to make sure that you follow all the rules, give it some content and that other users are wanting to respond. I'm a relatively new member, but I'm doing my best. I'm trying to learn as much as possible so I'm always open for tips. I think the trick to open a good discussion is to post about a great niche. I noticed that it's relatively easy to get some reactions if you are posting in the mylot.com interest. Are you always posting in the same interests because you get a lot off response there? Or are you just randomly posting everywhere? This looks as a great post I have written, but feel free to give me suggestions on how doing it better (: -Milamber

I dont never wish to post something that end up into the top discussions list. I usually have questions in my mind or certain topics that i am not convinced about, so i post them in myLot under related categories. I never want any overflow of response for my post, i just post to get my problems fixed or just to know what others think about the topic that i am posting! I shouldnt tell you this but dont run behind posting quality stuffs, as you must have read elsewhere or here on myLot too that you get paid more for posting quality stuffs. Just be honest to yourself and myLot community will pay you handsomely for that. We are here for building a good online forum that will help others too.

no problem dude :p I know those things and that's why I opened this topic; It's not about the money for me, it's about contributing with interested content and well formulated discussions. In real life, not on myLot, I amuse myself discussing with people about things they usually don't discuss about but where they still find them self in. This is what I aim for in most off my posts. I too make posts about random stuff where I don't get much response on or posts about things that I really need to know. -Milamber

I usually just post whatever comes to mind. I'm more concerned with the interaction than the pay out. If a post does well & gets a lot of attention , cool, if not, oh well.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't mend it like that (: I was a bit buzzy at the time because one off my other posts. I'll answer now (: So I wasn't really talking about the payout. I see a good discussion as one that contributes to the community and stimulates other myLot users to take part in that discussion. I'm not doing it for the pay-out, I'm doing it because I enjoy doing it (: Happy myLotting! -Milamber

I don't have any problem opening any discussions however I believe the topics that I am going to post most likely ever done before by other members. My time spent on Mylot here are always posting comment rather than starting new threads. When I browse threads sometimes I found that other Mylot user has posted it and I was going to create that thread. I am now trying to come up with interesting topic that I feel no other Mylot user has posted before.

Hello friend, i don't think about how interesting might be one discussion, i think what is interesting for me and i know that sooner or later i'll receive responses from people who are interested in the same topic. You never know which discussions will have more or less responses. If i have to say from my own experience sometimes i don't post responses not because i can't find interesting discussions, just because i don't want to write longer posts and to read longer posts. I saw for 7 months that few sections are interesting for me and lots others, which i picked at the beginning of my membership here are useless for me, because i never write or make responses there. That's why a month or so ago i changed my interests to be more close to my daily plans and acting. It made me happy, because i could find new friends and new really interesting for me topics instead of the useless sections for me. Welcome to mylot and enjoy!

Hi Suggar, After reading your posts I also narrowed my interests down. I choose quite a lot when I registered. It made it more easy for me to find discussions where I really had the feeling that I could write a great response. So thank you! Happy myLotting! -Milamber

I am new too and it is really hard to start a discussion thinking no one will respond. But luckily, there are a few who are responding to my discussions. Yes,it feels good when someone reacts to what you have posted, that is why i try my best to comment when someone responds. As we go along, we will be able to learn some tricks, so just go on... we can do these :)

Hi lexirose, I like it to when someone posts a response and I always do my best to reply as good as possible. And that's the fun thing about myLot, almost everyone is doing this. I learned some tricks in this short time, just make sure to learn from anything you do and see. Happy myLotting! -Milamber
