Is it just me or are these two " funny" films have a not so funny premise? One a guy is lying just to get the girl and another a husband gets to be single again in a way. Now I must confess I hate the modern romantic comedies. I think they are not funny or romantic. But these Really rub me the wrong way. Back in the day, there was a misunderstanding that made it look like the guy was something he wasn't . He wasn't lying straight out. Or was he a married man out on the prowl, the lady Thought he was single when he was married. and that where the comedy came out . But these two? Tragic. is it just me? your thoughts.

Yes..I agree..I don't see any comedy in that. It is actually very hard to find a good comedy anymore in my opinion. I can't even remember the last one I saw.

Me too! It is so hard to balance romance with comedy. If it is too funny , there is no Real romance and if it is too romantic, it isn't a comedy anymore! It is rare to have both in balance. The one film that got it right was Moonstruck. It had romance and comedy because... it had two stories running at once! Have you seen this film? If not, try it.

No, it's not just you. Neither of these movies really appeal to me much, they don't sound to me like they'd be at all funny OR romantic! I DO like a lot of romantic comedies, I must confess, it's one of my guilty pleasures, but I have to LIKE the main characters to enjoy the movie and I don't think the male leads in these movies sound very likable at all.
