Hello dears, I'm planning to print a small book and I know it needs an ISBN number. I've heard that ISBN nunbers are free in Canada. But I'm not Canadian. Friends, I need your help. Tell me how to get an ISBN number directly. Thanks a lot!

The ISBN is a cataloging system that helps booksellers find your book. Some booksellers won't even touch a book that doesn't have an ISBN number but others will. I have my book listed on Amazon and eBay without an ISBN number.
You have to pay for the number but once you have it it can be applied to all editions of your book. Small, print on demand publishers like Lulu or Booksurge, will help you set up the number, either listing them as the publisher or you can list a different publisher for a little more money. It's been a while since I've done it so I don't remember the specifics but I paid the extra to register my publishing company. I think it was 140 USD.
