How do you celebrate the Chinese new year?

I'm half chinese so ever since I was little our family would celebrate the chinese new year with gusto so I was wondering how do you guys celebrate it?What are the customs and traditions that you do during the new year Thanks for sharing....

I am not Chinese, but I have many Chinese friends, and there is a huge China Town in the city where I live. Chinese New Year is celebrated in grand and wonderful ways there. I would visit China Town and enjoy walking around the celebrations, and I would enjoy a wonderful dinner on the day at one of the best Chinese restaurants !

I don't really do anything special, I'm not chinese but I do look like one.
All I do is nag my chinese friends into giving us foods because it's their new year.
