Where three daughter in the family. My two sisters are married already. I was the only left at home with my mom. It's hard when you left alone you take all the responsibilities. My mom is diabetic that causes fight most of the time. Mom doesn't listen to what i say. She keeps on eating food that contain sugar that increases her blood sugar. I always tell her that it is bad for her health. What will I do to stop her eating food contain sugar? What is the best way of telling her without causing a fight?

hi there. i suggest you'd let her try some foods specially made for diabetic people. well there are some, a lot are made sweet for dessert that 100% sugar-free. also, convince her to eat vegetables especially "bitter gourd", best veggie for diabetic ones. thank you and see you around...

hi, we Filipinos have a saying that taking care of our parents brings good luck and long life. We pride ourselves in being a nation that takes care of our elderly and not simply living them in a home for old people. The reason why most Mothers do not listen to their children especially when they are old is because they still demand our respect and would still like to show that they are still in control and because of old age , they might not want to admit mistakes, and in a way she is right. Why not try talking to somebody close to your mother,or an older relative or maybe a doctor to tell your mother how to stay healthy instead of you. Try to be more patient with her, there won't be a fight if you do not fight back or answer back, good luck and hope my suggestion works, welcome and happy Mylotting.
