Humorous captions on people's cars...

I dont know if any of you have noticed them, but some of them are so eye catching that you simply cannot miss them. Some of them are amusing, very few thought provoking and most of them down right funny! The other day I saw a car which had these words ' I like your lips but I dont like your hips' - wonder who the owner was referring to ?Another one had me and my family in splits which read 'We offer value barking".... There was another one which had the names of the entire family on the bonnet including their relation to the car owner in brackets like Venkamma(grandma) and Ajjappa(grnadpa) LOL ...Do you have such captions on your car or have you come across anything that has caught your attention?

I never had a caption on my car because I never has a car till date. I don't know who was the person that the owner was referring to, but I never heard that caption before and also I think one can never look the lips and hips at the same time so it is a little strange one. I can read the captions everyday on the vehicles with the names of family members but names of the whole family that is unique one. I have only one vehicle and that is my motor cycle which have no caption yet. Maybe I will get one after few days but waiting for an unique one. Some people have captions on the vehicles with the nick names of the Actors or their favorite star, that also impresses me.

Hi sanjay, thanks a lot for your responseLOL I am sure it is about his GF who probably has large hips. We have a car here which I see every day and the stickers fill the entire back glass and I wonder why? since it is not safe to block out the back...I am sure you will come across something nice for your motor cycle - all the best and enjoy your week

LOL Hopefully these discussions are read by people who need to do so.. When you are caught in a traffic jam it is fun to while away the time reading all the different captions on other vehicles

Maybe it is his girl friend but still he can not look the lips and hips at the same time, anyway I will never put that caption. I think they want their backs blocked that is why they do that, and I agree with you that it is not safe but who can make those people understand? If they read this discussion then they will learn something. I wish you the same.

A little irony about why we should even need such a movement?

Exactly! But it has a large following, so obviously some feel either the need to have one or are curious to see and experience it at close quarters

I usually am amused by the ones that I read from tricycles. In my province, here in the Philippines, tricycles are the most common modes of transport. And I just learned that it is a city ordinance to write anything religious or Godly at the back of each tricycle. It's funny what other people put on their units. Some would say, "Prepare for the coming of the Lord". And it does quite make an impact when, you're on the road, and we know the risks involved when driving.

LOL, yes it does...I too have seen some of those religious sentiments printed on cars here, but under the circumstances they do seem funny like the one I came across - Think of God and Drive carefully! Remember, it's not only a car that can be recalled by it's maker...

I like to read funny stickers on passing vehicles. sometimes they are good for the laugh you might need to encourage you through your day. Some of these witty lines can also make you stop and think.

Hi sender,I too enjoy doing this while driving. Most Indian trucks carry messages on family planning and I fail to see why? I agree that there are some thought provoking ones too, but, most of them are an extension of the owner's taste...thanks a lot and All the best

Hello kiran, I don't have such captions on my car, I have only one sticker with... guess what? An Airedale! The funniest sticker I saw was one glued on the back of one car and he said "if you can read this, it means you are too close to be safe"

I have one on mine, the famous peeing boy looking back with a smirk on his face. LOL I've also seen a lot of these catchy stickers and captions. They're great if your car isn't that new anymore, in my opinion, because it won't be that noticeable so you should just put stickers on it for others to notice it.

Hi John, It is no doubt a lot of fun to look at these captions and try to understand the person behind it. They seem to fit the person behind the wheels like a car with a caption 'so many pedestrians, so little time....is perhaps an impatient person and so on...thanks a lot for your response

I didn't know this was a fashion - I'll have to look more. I did notice one particular car that had such an awful green color that I couldn't imagine anyone in their right mind buying it. As I passed by, I noticed very large letters on the rear window which read "IGUANA". Very apt!

Hi peter,I am not sure if it is a fashion or a fad, but I see a lot of people do this. I guess it is their way of displaying their feelings and sharing part of it on their favorite possession...LOL Iguana and that shade of bright parrot green is very apt ! thanks a lot for sharing your views , enjoy your day
