Creating either PTC or Refback site.

I don't know what to do. I understand the investments involved in PTC sites, and I know Refback sites would cost less. I can easily find PTC scripts, but I don't know which one to choose, and Refback scripts are few and far between, so I would most likely have to code it myself.
What are your thoughts? Would you happen to have any advice for me?

Before just starting up one of the two, take your time to sit down and make a businessplan, what do you want to acchieve with your project?
Most companies who start up without a businessplan often go wrong and end up making the owners loosing time and money :)

I agree. That is something I will have to think about. Right now my idea is to have something stable that will not only help me but will also help others earn money.

no matter site u choose every investments has own risk, like job.
