All week the news said that we were going to get lots of snow. Everyone everywhere was getting prepared for it by buying all the things in stores that they felt they needed. Lots of people were freaking out last night I noticed on facebook and I was surprised too because there wasn't anything happening when it comes to the weather and all of the schools were putting closed reports on the news. Usually in our state they don't do that until the next day to make sure that the weather is too bad for traveling. This morning when I woke up it was real deep in snow. They even have the army prepared for emergency's here. I'm snowed in and so is everyone else in my state but I'm not letting it bother me I feel you mise well enjoy situations the best you can because life is too short. I'm thankful to be warm and hope that the electricity doesn't go out for days and if it does I will still try to enjoy the situation as much as possible.

I'm not sure what stat you are in, but it is the same where I am. I don't know how much snow actually fell, but I do know that my brother can't get out of his driveway. I have no intention of trying to go outside because I am just recovering from surgery and it is all I can do to walk up and down the hallway of the motel. The only time I have ventured outside since I got here last Wednesday was to go over to the ice machine in the next building over. Now I need to go get some more Ice as well. I also hope the electricity and internet stay on so I can keep working on mylot. Stay warm!!!

Thank you for commenting.A lot of people in my state are stuck too and some don't even try to leave. Lots of people are without work during this and school. The hardest part is the income people are losing not being able to work. I am not going to go anywhere either. It is too dangerous. I don't blame you. You don't want to take a chance in falling on your surgery either. You stay warm too! Hopefully the snow melts soon so you can go home. I bet it is a mess to eat being at a motel. Have a good week.

I was going to go get some ice tonight, but when I went outside, there was too much snow between the two buildings. I decided that I will just drink warm water (room temp) tonight because I didn't feel like dealing with the snow. Oh well. This is home for a while. I have paid for a month. I will probably stay here throughout my treatments because it is cheaper than getting an apartment. I don't know if the price will remain the same when the weather improves, but for right now it is cheaper than anything else that I can get into. And as long as I have the internet and heat, I am happy. I have been living off of soup and similar stuff. Talk to you later.

I don't blame you it is better to be safe then sorry.I don't blame you for staying in the motel then. Things are so expensive. Hopefully the treatments get you well. That's cool that the motel comes with internet that saves some money too, having utilities with it.

I am in Ohio and I don't think it would have been as bad here if all we got was snow. We had a storm with snow then freezing rain that turned into ice followed by more snow, rain that froze, more freezing rain and now it is snowing again. There are layers of ice outside and it is dangerous to go out and everyone is falling and getting hurt.

Thank you for commenting. It is so cold here that some of the moisture has turned to ice and some days it has been a little warmer so some of the snow has melted but there still is a lot of it. It just melted enough to turn to ice when it got colder. Ice is real dangerous to try to walk and to drive on. It is supposed to get more snow some more this week. Hopefully not too much. Hopefully your weather gets better soon. I hope your having a good weekend considering the weather. Stay safe and warm.

If I were to open my front door right now, I am sure it seems like there is at least a foot of snow on my porch. the wind has blown all day and the snow is really drifting. It is not the best outdoor day to encounter.

Thank you for commenting. It isn't a good day here either to go anywhere. I don't when we will be able to go anywhere because it is supposed to snow again. Stay warm and safe. Have a good day.

I live just outside of Niagara Falls Ontario, and we mostly got ice and frozen rain. Wednesday we got the most snow out of the two days but nothing compared to what all the hype was about on the news and weather networks. For me I enjoy a little snow and my my dogs love it. But like anything else, I am glad to see it all go away and look forward to nice long summer days

Thank you for commenting. That ice can be very scary. It is hard to know what the weather is going to be sometimes since the weather people are sometimes wrong. Have a good day!

There are stacks of snow out there, on the road, on tthe pavements. in the backyard, on the front stairways. And, I am stuck in the house. Have been stuck for 3 days now, so miserable. Lucky that I had enough foostuff packed in my refrigerator, enough for about a week. Looking forward to a brighter and sunny week.

I feel you in this conversation. I love the snow, but I have to travel an hour and 15 minutes to school and its a little difficult with the white stuff on the ground. Makes for dangerous conditions. I absolutely love to take the children out and play in it though. The other day we made a snowman with a cowboy hat on and a scarf...we named him Western Sizzler. LOL. But yea we got a good 10 inches, and they were calling for another 10 inches on top of that. Crazy enough, right now it is just raining thank God. I heard the weather was supposed to be bad, but one of the stations says that we dodged it and the other says that it's still on it's way. Both are the equal amount away from us, so I'm torn between who to believe. I guess that I'll just wait and see what it does. You stay safe, dry and warm. Enjoy the snow, remember it only happens so many times a year.

Thank you for commenting.Playing in the snow is a lot of fun for kids and even more when the parents play with them in it.I bet that cowboy snow man was very cute! It is hard to know what to believe sometimes because weather people are wrong sometimes on our weather. Have a good week!

My part of Kentucky isn't getting the deep deep snow this time. We got all we wanted 2 years ago when that big ice/snow storm hit here. We were without power for about 3 days and I had to go to a Salvation Army shelter. Going one day without power doesn't hit you too badly but into the 2nd day I was just about freezing and my phone battery was down. A tree limb fell onto the roof of the house from the weight of the ice. I made one call to a relative who called rescue and they got me to the shelter. You might think you can hunker down and 'weather' it out, but after going without heat or means of cooking after a couple of days, you want to just find some heat. I really do sympathize with all of you who are going to be going through this right now. It is no fun.

Thank you for commenting. About five years ago and 9 years ago we were without electricity for quite a few days. We are lucky we have a fireplace but it still was freezing every where in our house even where the fireplace is so we all stayed in the family room where the fireplace is. We slept in that room and everything. We ate sandwiches and we all ate and drank at the same times each day so the refrigerator wouldn't be opened as much so things would stay cold better and luckily that worked. We didn't have anything go bad. I'm glad that you were okay after going through all of that. Hopefully you had house insurance and they paid the whole price to have it fixed. My uncle had to stay at a shelter too because he didn't have a way to stay warm and he lived a long ways from family. Hopefully we don't go through that this year. It is hard.

Thank you for commenting.I live in Oklahoma. I have family in Arizona and it is real hot there most of the time they say. I haven't been there before and they are like you they used to live where it snowed too-Colorado. It doesn't get that bad here very often. It usually snows 3 times at the most in the winter and most of the times it does it is melted the next day or two. Have a good week.

If you have snow there, we have lots of rain here from my country that triggers flood. It is always cold outside and wet. It is unusual for us to get rain this much for a month at the beginning of the year unless there is a storm. But there is no storm only lots of rain.

Thank you for commenting. We sometimes get lots of rain too. We live by a lake so we are glad that are house isn't too close to it. We get the opposite too sometimes to where lakes disappear from it being so dry.Hopefully you don't get flooded out then. When things flood it does get scary that houses will too.Have a good day!
