Today is New Year's Eve,tomorrow is the first day of the lunar year,i.e.Spring Festival Which is Chinese traditional festival. It is a long streak of joyous days ,according to traditions It cann't be considered to be over until the Lantern Festival. This year's mascot is a rabbit ,the image of the rabbit can be seen on streets and lanes, because this year is the year of the rabbit according to lunar calendar. Spring Festival is like a giant magnet which magnetizes people and makes them rash to family from all directions.Have you ever seen such a high tide of spring transportation and a large contingent of number of hundreds of thousands motorcycle to return home? During the period people prepare an abundance of food,In addition, there are many activities, for example,yasuiqian-money given to children as a lunar New Year gift, pay a New Year calls, etc.people are profuse in their auspicious words. The persons who are serious usually become amiable too. I think the festival epitomizes the culture of a nation.Dear mylotters,How do you think of the festival?I will listen with respectful attention.

Here in the Philippines, Chinese New Year celebration is much awaited event just like the western New Year. Being together for so many years, Filipinos and Chinese are now sharing almost every traditions. We join our Chinese brothers and sisters in celebrating, and sweet sticky rice cakes (TIKOY) are given out as token of friendship. Our Chinese friends has given us some and will consume it during the midnight feast we'll be sharing with them!

Towards the Lunar New Year, various shopping malls in Jakarta organized the exhibition Chinese culture, ranging from traditional food, clothing typical of Chinese people, Chinese martial arts until the usual trinkets worn by Chinese descendants community. And the malls also not forget to present lion dance. This is the most interesting and the most I liked. And more makes me amazed is shades of red color highlighted by various mall. Shades of red color this very contrasting and unique and of course, will make all people to always happy
