i have made alot of comments to people about weather you think facebook should bring in a ID system so every user who has facebook should show proof of who they are to facebook? i think it would make facebook a safer place there would be no rapist, killers, pedos on facebook and then at least everyone who does try add you random or not you would know they are in the clear from the ID check i cant contact facebook about this usee but i wuld love to.The thing with facebook is they dont have a contact is link.....and when you try message the guy who owns facebook he just ignores you if facebook keeps going the way it does it will be shut up down and it will end up like myspace

As long as it can be kept confidential, I'd be OK with that. I don't think a person's identity should be required to be made public though, as some people prefer to remain anonymous due to online stalkers, etc.

Unfortunately I think there is no real way that any online site could completely do this. I mean even here in myLot you never know who is really here. I think personally if you are worried about it just safe guard yourself and make sure those you allow contact with are either people you know, or maybe just women. Since I use Facebook for networking with my Business stuff, etc. I do not even allow things like this to enter.

It will not be so practical to control by an ID check. As you may be aware, people who really want ruin and interfere in any site, they can do as they like and the violations are so easy. All types of people are around and no one can control their interference to an extent. What facebook can do is that they can enhance the security for every individual with different options. In my opinion, the users or the account holders only giving chances to intruders to active in different users internal affairs. It can be mainly controlled by the individuals, and not by facebook, and what facebook can do is make more privacy to the users. Thank-s

It may be true that there are these types of people on facebook. The reality is that this is the case in every social networking site. This is the internet, another community like any other. There are bad people and good people. Would you ask for ID and a background check to enter say a public Library? In my opinion that would not help because crooks and perverts will find a way to get around that. In my opinion what facebook needs is to implement more privacy for users. This way the user can decide what or who he/she visits or talks to.

I think I will agree with you but I don't know exactly. Facebook is a laid-back site for me and I don't think making it tight like that will further attract new users.

Hmmm... It would be nice have some sort of ID check but it depends what it is. I would not want it to be something so complicating it would make sers shy away from Facebook completely. SOmething simple would be nice although I still think there would be those type of people on FB. And theres always those hackers lol :)

i agree with you, so many abuses or crimes are starting from facebook. May be someone must proof their residence and name, than we can trust or check that this is a good person or fake person.
