. Is it right that we read the texts or emails of our spouses/ partners?

In couples , even as husbands and wives , we value our privacy. There are aspects in our lives which should always be of knowledge to our spouses, but there are also some aspects which In my opinion should be of permission to see by the other spouse. As a respect to my husband and vice versa, we only view each other’s texts on cellphones or emails when we give the permission. Other than that, we don’t. May I also know your thoughts on this please?

Me and my boyfriend are open with each other we both look at it like "if you have nothing to hide... what is the big deal?" Unless I was surprising him with something I personally dont care... My boyfriend is very open with his phone and email... Half the time he forgets his phone at home and leaves his email open... I don't go out of my way to look at it but it is good to know that if he starts to get secretive with it all of a sudden that would be some warning flags. It is a nice feeling to know that you can trust the person you are with.It adds a sense of security when you don't feel the other person is hiding something

Well, good to hear that you are like that to one another. But i guess, partners in life has different ways of preferring for their privacy.
