We do a lot posts each day but anybody actually mark down each time they post a discussion or respond out there? I always feel like "Oh I must have done a lot today becaus eI have been sitting in front of the computer all day..." But when I see the earnings the next day, I realize there wasn't whole lot... I tried to mark everytime when I post something but then I forgot so I lost track Do you do this?

No I don't count anything while I am here. What is a 'post' anyway? A new topic, a response or a comment or a return comment? We do not earn for 'posting' here as there is no fixed rate for anything, We earn for discussing so when I am here I would rather stick in only a few places, depending on what catches my interest, and further the topic there. Offline I have to count a lot so here I just relax and let my fingers do the typing without counting anything at all.

I am like you mysdianait and I somehow always like the way you approach the questions. You are right. Why bother to count? Just take note of the number in the bracket when you log in and before you log out, do a simple subtraction and there we have the number of posts you did today. A few weeks ago, I would have been conscious of how many post I contributed, but not anymore. I just come in to have fun. If there is only 1 post that I feel I can contribute, so be it. If there are many, then I assess if I have the time. After all, myLot is meant to work with us, not against us. When you become engrossed, counting is nothing.

When I first log in to myLot each day, I write down how many posts I already have on a piece of paper. Usually I don't check again before logging off, only the next day, when I check again, and, with a bit of luck, I find the piece of paper from the previous day and I can thus tell how many posts I've done. It's not like a have a number of discussions I plan on responding to each day, sometimes I get carried away, sometimes I browse for half an hour and don't find anything that catches my interest - but I'm a bit of a number freak. Besides, this helps me avoid disappointment when I see the earnings updated

Sometimes I mentally mark down how many post I done per day, but lately, I just lost track of it as well. Anyway, I can see from my earning everyday I log in here. So, I would try to do my best, and do as much as I can on mylot here. I just want to increase my earning as well.

Mostly i dont count the post and most of my time on mylot is spend on searching my favourite topic of discussion, but sometimes i count when i have very short time so i count how many post i had done in this time when i have enough time so i forget to count, just enjoy the discussions.

I mark mentally how many posts I have made. I do this by looking at my points at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day to see how many posts I've made. I was surprised how much I earned yesterday because I didn't think I made that many posts, and that was one of the only days I haven't counted my posts.

It is not the number of posts that earn for you but what is in them and whether you were discussing (furthering the topic) which you did on several occasions yesterday. Earnings do not increase if we just 'post' as myLot is not a paid-to-post site.

Only sometime back i realized the importance of a thread in mylot and actually started going back to the dicussions i have responded in the past. i should say, it increases the quality of the post as well as the cents one earns here in mylot. before i would be concerned only about the number of discussions i am responding to. silly me

No, I never do keep track of how much I do each day, as I really don't care, and I am not here for the money anyway. It never used to be that way, as when I first joined here, it was because of the money. I have since realized that the earnings aren't all that much anyway. I never have kept track, even when I first started. I am in and out here everyday anyway, as I do take breaks to do the other sites I am a member of. I just take my time and do what I can when I am in here. I just like coming here and sharing with others and learning at the same time. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

It is good for you that you are not here for the money. You can just throw any discussions here when you feel like it.

Well there are days where I do have certain goals that I try to accomplish. To meet those goals, I tend to keep track of whatever posts I make. That way, I know how long it will take me to reach a certain milestone. Now granted, it will not be the absolutely hard maximum that I will have to reach for my day to be a success but it is an important step to take. Other days, I just go with the flow. I just really post a lot. Oddly enough, they do tend to add up pretty quickly all things considered. It does tend to render a person breathless when the posts continue to pile up and that little number by the side of your name increases. So just keep going down the list and really tend to throw the first thoughts that come into your head after reading the topic(but only if they are appropriate of course). I tend to gain a lot of ground this way.

sometimes I feel bored with it when I cannot find anything interesting so I just kinda stop... but at the same time, I don't want tto stop because I want to do as much as I can; I wonder why a lot of people can stick around for ao long each day.

Actually, i have an excel spreadsheet that i have configured to calculate my total earnings for each day on all my sites. This way i know how much I earn each day. I like to look at my .75 daily earnings. lol

Your right. It has happened to me here a few times. My best day was 1.03. I did not realize that I had posted so much. Of course that day I also added some photos to my responses.

yes, i do count them. At the end of mylotting i would just press discussions responded and count the most recent ones. That way, i got to more or less gauge if what Mylot gave me for that day was more or less the same as my calculation.

I am still trying to figure out how to use this site. I noticed some pages have things on it they are trying to sell. I don't even know how to build own page yet.

I am an over-organizer. However, no I don't keep track of anything here. I am here, yes for the earnings, but also just to talk! I have no one in my life much to talk to so you guys get me! I love chatting with people, learning from people and asking for help from people and offering my help to others. MyLot is a fun place to be and serves alot of purposes and there are days I am here all day long and days, not so much. Depends on life. So trying to keep track of posts and all....I don't see the point. Just chat and have fun and get an education and teach and the earnings will show!

I haven't done this so far but I guess I'll start doing it because I'm curious to see if I receive more than 1 cent per post in some cases, which would probably mean that those responses that wew better paid had a certain quality. From now on I will try to make this statistic.
