I use all my fingers when typing. At first it may be slow, but when you are used to this way, you can type much fastter then just using index and middle fingers.

My experience is you should force yourself to use all your fingers, and at first you must know which finger should be used when you press a key. When you form a habit to use all fingers, you can type faster than before. I think there is no shortcut, just form your habit!

I try to use all my fingers while typing.. I love the feeling of touch typing and the idea that finally I have almost perfected it, unlike before where I just use two fingers to type, and I type extremely slow. Hehehe.

Good day melz... When I type on the keyboard, my index and my middle fingers are usually working. However, I developed the habit of using my thumb on the space bar since it is the closest finger to it.. My pinky and my ring finger, on the other hand, are used to press keys such as ctrl and shift... They dont play much around the letters...

I tried to type before using all my fingers but it's really hard for me to use my pinky finger. Actually up to now I was still trying to do that. But I can still type fast even without using my pinky finger. It's true that those who uses all their fingers to type are speed typist and that is why I keep on practicing to use all my fingers to type.

Hi there melz21 !!! I am actually trying to type using all my fingers and in their proper position but i can't really make it a habit coz I am use to typing with only few fingers.I am also becoming slow in typing whenever i try to use all my fingers. It is hard to practice typing using all your fingers but it cab be practiced. Before I really think that typing with all finger is cool and I tried to do it by practicing with typing masters. But then I grew tired of it and then again started typing with few fingers again. Now I am still typing with few fingers and I can type at ease coz I am more comfortable.

Maybe it's a bit weird but I'm useing all my fingers of my left hand (I think because of playing games alot {WASD, CTRL, SPACE, SHIFT}) with my right hand I only use my index and middle finger. While I used to be right (with righting). I think you can learn it but you have to invest some time to use all your fingers.
