So much snow, I think it's going to take months to melt.

I've never seen so much snow on one street in my life, that is until this winter, living on the street that I do. We moved here in September, not knowing what winter would be like, had no idea what to expect here. There is one home owner who hires a bobcat driver to remove their snow, and the church down the street has a plow for their property. Combined, they dump a ton of snow on the street opposite our house. I would have thought that they'd dump it down the ravine, but they haven't done so. As a result, we can't see into the golf course across the street, it's completely blocked by large snow piles at least 6' tall or higher. With piles that high, it's going to take a long time for it all to melt, and when it does, it's going to create a huge mess. I'm not looking forward to that, but I can't wait for it, and then I'll know for sure that spring is here.

We got rain over the last weekend and the temperature got warmer so a lot of the snow finally melted... and we have got our drive way back. We still have some snow but it is a lot les than before now after the warm rain.

I think we're supposed to get some rain next week which will help a bit, but only if it doesn't freeze up suddenly like it has done in the past. We just have to hope for the best this spring.

I live in Melbourne Australia so we don't get snow here, it does get cold here but never snows, I am not sure how I would cope with snow, I am not good at coping with any extreme weather cold or hot, it must be hard...

It is hard, and I never get used to it. We were spoiled last winter, there wasn't so much snow, but the year before, we got dumped on severely. This year is a cross between last year and the year before, the only difference is that it's been far colder than other years.

Our city disposes of its snow at an empty lot just out of town on our end of town. My drive is gravel and I do not scoop it.All of the streets were decent. We still had some snow on the sidewalks but were pretty clear. It has snowed since four this morning, so we have quite a bit, but nothing like what you have. I think that ours will be gone in a week to ten days.

Hi. kris182_2000. I hope that the snow melts really quickly. Having snow that stays on the ground is no fun at all. It is very hard to get things done outside when there is snow on the ground. I hope that they don't dump anymore snow on the street anymore. Take care.

It won't take long trust me i live in markham, Ontario, Canada since i was born and it always melts fast and dosen't take months. That only year that was weird was 2009, where it snowed in april and didn't snow in november.

What state do you live in? I'm in Pennsylvania. So far we really haven't gotten hit to bad by snow this year. Last year around this time we were getting pounded. We got almost 3 feet of snow in two days. I think the cold temperatures have been worse this year. And when it wasn't cold it was freezing rain that made the roads really slick. I used to love the snow but now I'm not crazy about it lol.
