If you run out of personal topics to talk about, you might ask what people think about something that you feel strongly about or something you heard about in the news. Some people mostly stick with things that have happened to them, but I have responded to questions about why should prisoners have a better life than the poor law abiding citizen or other things where people have opinions. A discussion doesn't always have to be a story. Sometimes people talk about a news article or a video that they had seen. I don't know if that helps. Have a great day!

Just keep in mind if you feel strongly about something, others might not agree with you. That is ok though! That is what a discussion is all about as long as everyone involved stays on friendly terms! If you don't agree with what someone else says, just acknowledge it and maybe tell why you disagree. You might never be able to agree with everyone, but you could at least agree to disagree. Good luck with that!

If you have a son or daughter, just spend time with them and listen. They'll eventually ask you some questions that you might be able to post here especially if you had a somewhat difficult time in answering those questions. That's what I do. Almost all the topics I've posted here I got from my son :)

I do not start too many discussions because I don't have time. You never know what is interesting to others from your experience until you write something. Since we are of different cultures and countries, we are still learning from each other. I learned something when you told me what you meant by being born a second time when the cobra didn't bite you. So there's a lot of stuff to write about. You might not get a response all of the time, but keep writing. Plus, the more you write, the more comfortable you get at it.

I envy you having orange trees. I love to grow things but I stay in an apartment and am limited with what I can grow. Some day hopefully soon, I'll have property again and will grow my gardens. Good luck to you too.

I don't have much time, either.During the winter holidays my wife and I take turns to get on line as well as my son, who's a highschool student, and if the weather permits,I have to go out to my fruit fields caring for my orange trees. Just as what you said, you cannot ensure each of yuour discussions is interesting, but keeping writing is good,I agree and I'll go on.Good luck to you!

I do not start many discussions as mine can last for weeks on end as I do get many responses. I find day to day experience interesting to discuss as most times I have plenty to say and discuss. Best of luck to you.

IT's good to tell about your own experiences. We like to share experiences here instead of listening to people boasting about stuffs, getting complacent and arrogant. Whatever experience i have, i will either start a discussion about it, if not, i will find similiar post, respond to it, citing my experience in it. So your question should be solved now.

Hello Oldsix, It is not so difficult : a funny news, a movie you have seen, a book you have read, an old souvenir, your daily experience, an advice needed for a software or a site... There is no secret, and you have not to lie. And you have not to start a discussion if you have no discussion in mind. You can earn at myLot only with your responses.

If I can't think of something to talk about on what happened recently. I will talk about something that has happened. Something that other people can relate too so more people will reply to it.
