Need help to create own blog, could you ?

I m nt much aware of blog, bt want to start my own blog. I already done a static site using java and having knowledge of .net,joomla,wordpress etc. What is exactly the blog mean and what are necessary things to start a blog and publish it dynamically ?

It must be interesting with interesting topics - eye catching. Also you must update the information every day - every 5 hours is better even. Articles like "How to.." and "Do it your self.." are gold mine , they attract users more than anything. Be creative ! Cheers
