Online video tutorials are very helpful in learning photoshop. It's important that the one who created the video explains the lesson well and that s/he is able to show in the video the actual photoshop screen and how things work. I've learned a bunch of things through online video tutorials (mostly youtube). The good thing about them is that you can search for a particular video related to a specific thing, you don't have to learn every single detail about the program. But as you asked, if anyone has learned the whole program online, I'd say it's possible and I think anyone who has totally learned photoshop online has perseverance because it's difficult when there are so many videos available online.

As always, YouTube truly is quite a valuable resource. Pretty much anything you want can be found in a video on there, including Photoshop tutorials. I do believe that there is plenty you can learn from video tutorials, but I prefer detailed tutorials in text/image form so I can focus more clearly on the image and the changes made to it. And of course, it gives me more room to experiment because I'm not stopping and starting the video or trying to keep up.

Yes, that is usually what I do. It is really possible to do so. I learned a lot of basic skills and I was even able to make an Avatar-inspired picture of myself! Just follow each and every step of the tutorial and you'll have it done in no time! You could even find tutorial sites in the net! Try this out, www.photoshoplady.com This is where I learned a lot! Together with Youtube too! Enjoy and have fun!

I've learnt how to use Photoshop entirely of YouTube, there many different tutorials on YouTube starting at showing the basic of cropping and theres some which are very advanced. I've found YouTube a great tool i'm helping me learn about Photoshop and i hope you find it as useful as i have done.
