how long does it take for pups to open there eyes

Hello Dan and welcome to myLot! Puppies open their eyes somewhere between seven days to two weeks after birth. It varies a bit, based on breed and on the puppies themselves. Do you have new borm puppies at home?

Hi. I have been taking care of dogs ever since I was five years old. I had so many dogs who gave birth during my life time. I have noticed that puppies opened their eyes gradually and little by little stared at you after the first week from birth. It is such a joy after the second week if their eyes are totally open and they start to recognize who you are.
