Why do I see so many women dyeing their hair?

Like blondes dyeing their hair so black that it's blue, redheads masking their strikingly vibrant color by changing the color completely, or brunettes and African-American or Asians bleaching their hair a cheap and common platinum blonde...I understand girls who dye their hair simply to enrich their hair color though.

Well women dye their hair because just like what they said, our hair is our crowning glory and if we have good hair it will definitely uplifts our looks. Women especially love to try something new that will enhance their appearance that's why its common for us women to try coloring our hair. Me, I occasionally have my hair colored too for me to have my looks changed once in a while...

most people dye hair for beauty but i won't do it even though it can really do the effect. dyeing sometimes is not good for health especially for those who dye often. the people who dye to cover their gray hair have to dye often or their will look older.

I think think that sometimes we just don't like the hair color that we have, which is why we dye it. I dyed my hair because I wanted to try a different hair color and found one that I like better. It was to try something different. Sometimes, it's also to help us feel better in our own bodies.

I used to dye my hair regularly into brown because I thought I looked better in brownish hair and it is a very popular thing to do in my country. But since couple years ago, I stopped dying my hair and realized it hurts my hair so badly... now I have a nice, shinny and pretty long hair.

Why not? We have an image that we can change, and turn into a slightly different person. To dye your hair is fun, and you can find a colour that looks even better in you that your natural one. Also many people with white hair dye their hair, as they miss their old hair colour. Many men dye their hair too, and I'm kind of used to. We're supposed to feel good with our image, so that's why we have the freedom to change it, may it be the hair colour, makeup, clothes, etc

hmm well i am also planning to dye my hair with some purple streak..my hair is black..but i love Katy Perry's hair color right now, its black with streak of purple infront.. so i guess it has something to do with fashion, but i am not a fashion person, i just love it..it has something to do with what i want. i do it because i want it and nothing more and i know i look hot in it hahahaha..so there. but for some i know they dye their hair because its a necessity like they have white hair growing

Some women dye their hair to cover up the gray. Other women dye their hair because they want a change, they are not happy with their natural color. My Dad also dyed his hair when he was younger, to cover up the gray, so it's not just women that dye their hair. White/gray hair makes us look older and most of us want to retain that youthful appearance. I think most women look better with their natural hair and highlights.

I noticed that too. A lot of my office mates who have black hair had their hair dyed - light brown , blondish , reddish. It has become a craze now. I do dye my hair though, just to hide those sprouting grey hairs. But i still dye it black. It's my natural color, that's why.

Because we want to be different once in a while. Some do it for fashion sake, some for self expression too. It really depends, there are those who dye their hair to cover gray hair. It depends on the person, they may be wishing to be a brunette or a blonde etc.
