be guilty for not doing what is right

I was on my way home from office when my younger daughter texted me and told me that she is in our Barangay hall accompanying the 13-year old son of our neighbor who was beaten by a certain 16-year old boy during a hitted argument in basketball game. I get nervous at once and think may daughter might drag to such trouble. So i told her at once to get out of the Barangay hall and go home, and just let the involve family to resolve the issue. My daughter replied, "no mama, i have to give statement as witness, because i pity the young boy, he did nothing wrong but was beaten so hard. The bad boys should bi given lesson to what they did." Upon hearing this, and as i felt my daughter's bravery, a felt a bit shame and guilt. Often, people experience injustice because no one wishes to stand-up for them. Truly, sin is not just doing what is wrong, it is also not doing what you suppose to be done.

Aww your daughter is such a good human being. There aren't many people like your daughter and I am really impressed by her bravery. There were times when i didn't do things that were right, which left me sick with guilty but i'm trying to change myself.

For me, committing a crime and not doing anything about a crime being committed are both wrong. Yet, people have a tendency of not getting involved. It really takes guts and a very strong conviction to do what's right. What your daughter did is something people should emulate.
