The home is a cage for me. Since I rarely, get out leave the house. I left the house, only if take and pick up my child to school. The house we live in today, not our house. We rented a house that we live in now. Every day, I always try to make our home comfortable, neat and clean.

I am really unhappy with our home at the moment. Firstly, it's a rented property, so we have no real say over the furniture or decor. It's a shame. There's too much furniture to fit in such a tiny house and no place to store it! I would really love a tidy home, without mess, in a classic style reflecting our tastes. Unfortunately I have a bad case of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and that prevents me from being able to do a lot of cleaning. The responsibility falls mostly on my partner and a cleaning routine does not come naturally to him! We also have too much stuff, but we're trying to be ruthless and give away a lot of things to charity shops.

My studio now has soothing light-green-colored walls, which is very soothing. And, my room in parents' house has has light-green walls. Both rooms have white ceilings. I also try to tidy up my room, but when work is very hectic, I leave the cleaning to be done during the weekends.

My home is my haven. This is my safe zone and I do basically all the personal stuff here. I love my home. I think that it is the best place on earth. It seems like the outside of it is the jungle so you go inside for refuge. I feel so much pride with our home. We did not have a lot and my father worked so hard for this. We had to go through a lot just to have this sanctuary. Whenever I am in here, everything just feels so right. Funny thing though is after building this house, we bought a piece of land near it. It was never part of the plan to have it so we thought of things on how to have access to it from our main house. Things were already on their places inside the house but we just have to do a little modification. Suddenly the attention was on my room. They made an exit door that would lead to that land through my room. So now I call my room the double door room. I do not have much privacy now but it is still home.
