I have though about this for some weeks and now I have found 3 reason why Arsenal can win the English Premier League, also called Barclays Premier League. 1. Arsenal plays better than last year, they win more matches and their young talents have got better. The team has more experience now. 2. Manchester United has 7 matches on away ground, and Manchester United has played really bad on away ground, so I'm sure they will lose some points. Arsenal has also an easy programme on the paper. 3. This is a bit sad for Arsenal, but since they meet Barcelona in Champions League, then the possibilities for qualifying for the next round looks pretty small. But if they got eliminated, then they can focus almost 100% on the league, while United still have to focus on Champions League. Share you ideas about this.

I also see Arsenal as a good team, with real chances to win the English League. Although they have won the first leg against Barca, I still don't see them going through. But I have to say that I am not convinced that United will knock Marseille out. Marseille is a very uncomfortable opponent, who can defend very well. I agree with your first two reasons, but I don't think that the third one will happen. I think United will go out this round. And I am sure that Arsenal has chances to win the league.

Like in many other occasions, we will have to wait and see what is going to happen. But somehow I have this strange feeling that Marseille will knock Manchester out.

On the other hand it wouldn't surprise me, because unitil now there have only been surprises in Champions League according to the bookmakers. Almost all bookmakers had Valencia, Roma, Barcelona and Milan as favourites. 3 of them lost and one of them manage to draw, so why not Marseille - United?

I thing it will be a tough match at camp nou, and Arsenal has to close down Messi, if they want to have any chances. Last year he scored 4 goals against Arsenal at camp nou. I think United will go through. This season they have been really strong at Old Trafford and has only lost one league match. I don't think Marseille will be a problem for a experiences United team with players like Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Hernandez etc. Marseille has a good defence, but I still see United going through. I think and I hope, that United will take the title this year. They deserve it.

You've still forgot to consider the fact that Manchester United have only lost one premier league game this season and the fact they can still lose points not to mention the fact that they have the advantage of being on top of the league at this very minute so for Arsenal to win it they need Manchester United to drop more than a few points which they've only ever dropped 3 points once. Many losses have Arsenal had? They also struggle against teams such as Stoke and so, so despite having an easier fixture list on paper these are generally the teams Arsenal fail to record victories in. Just a few points to consider.

For sure, there is many things against that Arsenal should win the league, but how many matches has United won on away ground? United has a lead of 5 points, and they have matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and such. I'm convinced that the title race is going to be very close, and the title will be secure in the 36th,37th or 38th round. I know that Arsenal fail many times, but United lost against Wolves. Only time will show us, who will win the title.

I can only agree with you. Manchester is number 1, but we have to remember that Arsenal even though Arsenla struggle a lot to win, then they win most of their matches. My point is also, that Manchester United has 7 away matches, and they look quite bad away. In 12 matches they have got 17 points. United has a lead on 4 points, so they are reachable for Arsenal.

United may have lost against Wolves but Arsenal always struggle against the smaller teams and they may just fall apart now against Stoke, Birmingham and Sunderland not to mention that Barcelona is after the Sunderland game who have many players who can destroy Arsenals hopes of winning the league. Arsenal also have to face Blackburn who are another team who put up a battle of strength so beating all those teams is essential but I see Arsenal losing a few games from them four. Then you consider how they have to play Manchester United and Liverpool which are big team fixtures so the they have nearly the same amount of big team games as Manchester United's last big game against Chelsea may no longer matter. United appear to have struggled away from home but they've also still only lost once. They also still have a lead which tells us overall they've dropped less points than Arsenal.

Manchester United always show their best form around this time and they look to be doing the same again. I admire Arsenal's style but United are just that little bit better and can win games in more ways than Arsenal. It will be a great Title race but as a United fan I am confident we will retain the Title after missing out last season.

Yes, Manchester is really good in this part of the seaon, and they also have a very experienced team, but still United has played very bad away, and they have 7 matches away, so I'm still convinced that Arsenal has a good chance, if they win their matches.

I confident Arsenal can win the title this season. My 3 reason are as follows. 1. We have fit 3 strikers which last year we barely have a fit striker. remember when Arshavin have to become a striker because there is no more striker left for disposal. And Now RVP in the best form he ever had and there are 2 more capable striker waiting at the bench in form of Chamakh and Bendtner. 2. We have no Gallas, Silvestre, Campbell and Traore at the back. The CB are so poor that they make Messi look good at Nou Camp. And Traore despite all the promise most of the time Arsenal concede the attack are start from his side and he make a lot of mistake. 3. We have better Keepere in form of Szchsny. Fabianski have been great also but unlucky he get injured. And Szezchny deserve the number 1 spot.

I agree in some of your reasons. The first reason, I fully agree with you. This year Arsenal has some very good strikers, and especially van Persie has showed that he is some of the best at his position. They also have Walcott and Arshavin, and especially Walcott has also been much better, and he is very fast. I don't think Bendtner is a key player. As far as Robin Van Persie scores, then he don't get time on the pitch. The second reason. I agree a bit with you. Last year Arsenal's defence was poor, and it has been better this year, but I would still say that Arsenal is weaker than other top teams on this position. The third reason. Szchsny has showed that he is a great talent. He did very good against Barcelona, so on this position Arsenal seems to look strong.

Last season too, Arsenal had the easiest run compared to Chelsea and United going into March. But due to inexperience and injuries to key players, they could not sustain till the end. This season, they have looked more mature and have a good chance of winning the league given their key players remain injury free. If they continue to play like they did in second half against Barcelona, they will go on to win the premier league.

Yes, it is only therories, but I think they are quite good. In my mind Manchester is the favourite for the league title, but after looking closer on the programme and such, then I think arsenal has a good chance, but only time will show us.

I totally agree with you. Arsenal have a really good chance of winning the Premier League as well as the other trophies they are going for. Thanks to a 2-1 comeback by Arsenal just now against Barcelona, they still have a chance to get through the champions league. Plus, Van Persie is in amazing form. ARSENAL FTW!!!!

When I wrote my response the result was 1-0, but it was a great comeback for Arsenal. Now they still have a fine chance for qulifying for the next round, which would give them a brilliant boost. And yes Robin is in an amazing form at the moment, so it's exiting to see, how the next match will be.

If they win against BARCA tonight at home maybe just maybe. I hope they win the Premier League because I am no fan of MAN U. =)

Well, then chances of winnign against Barcelona is pretty small, and right now Barcelona has the lead with one goal, so I think it's almost impossible for Arsenal to qualify for next round.
