The Road To Truth Is Rocky!

Who said the road to finding the truth is straight and smooth? Advise them again, not only is it uncharted, it is rocky as well... Facts of the matter: hundreds of millions of pesos missing 1 general down, several others alleged for thievery in their own turf, ex-commander-in-chief not privy at all a nation polarized by poverty and overpopulation, air, water and garbage pollution on one side and luxury, vanity and avaricious high end lifestyle on the other... Where do we even dare to begin searching? We have a legislative body creating so much noise and yet the culprits go scot-free. We have a government repressed by limitations both internal and external. Meanwhile, we have a people enduring hunger while inedible sacks of rotten rice are deemed chicken-feed, overseas contract workers acting as drug mules for drug syndicates, and now three of them are pending execution via lethal injection in China... How do we digest these news? Yours truly couldn't even comprehend how the deceptive Responsible Parenthood Bill squeezed passage in the honorable house of congress, when in fact, it is the the devious Reproductive Health Bill in disguise... And yet, the congressmen are slow to act on their errant fellow lawmaker Ronald Singson, caught carrying a few grams of cocaine in Hongkong, detained, jailed, tried, pleaded guilty and addicted to substance abuse for years, and now awaiting sentence...and the house dilly-dallies... The road to truth is uncharted, precisely because those who pioneered mapping the road were sidetracked, either incarcerated in jail or silenced forever... Fortunately, for those who believe that truth has its own way of revealing itself, all is not lost. There are conspirators who, bothered by that thing called conscience, would opt for truth to set them free... LOL! The die had been cast... the road, we discover, is there, but gosh, it is terribly rocky! Don't worry, my feet are suffering from neuropathy. I am used to the brain pain... so, I can kick every rock, one by one, just to see the truth. Let's get to it!

Hi dear Eileenleyva...I can see you have poured out your heart with full of emotions in bringing up the corruption prevailing around you! But dear friend these things are happening every where. The hedges or the fences eating away the crops now a days. The scenario is pathetic one and unfortunately has become a global in nature! But don't worry dear friend, as you said the Road to the truth is rocky and let us walk on it, we may end up with some corns on our soles or toes. We may end up with some sprains or fractures, but remember since truth always triumphs we are going to make it one day! Let us not forget the pioneers like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King who walked on these path to show the World that Truth is the ultimate thing which can never be kept covered for a long! Thanks friend for the discussion...Let us hope for better, bright and prosperous tomorrow so that every body of us will lead a pleasant life! Good Luck!

you are correct, speaking truth and following it till end of your life is very difficult. Very less people could do that like Mahatma Gandhi, Sukrat and Martin Luther King. All these great personalities spoke truth and fought for the cause of people and had to pay price in form of their life. They were assassinated just cause they walked on the rocky path of truth.

Hiya eileen, This is what I could be hearing all Day long something similar but disguised as something they can brush off and say nothing is going on (grin). I have to say that the News is not even listened to really in this House as I make a point of keeping the Television off most times and if they want to try and bore me to tears repeating the same kind of thing. If I ever find one piece of good news on there it would be something to be happy about. Have you ever noticed that if they are going to say something good has happened to someone they keep it right until the end the end of their Broadcast? Which in between adverts and all the rest is about 30 minutes later? Am I waterproof against bad news? Not really but I think that you can hear about it without putting on the Television. am not willing to gi Newspapers are a big no no as well.

I got a head ache..... I thought of it as just a cycle, now it looks like we're in a spin dryer. I thought it's just a matter of direction but in reality, we're spinning too fast to see any direction at all. Or maybe the road to the truth is really just rough one.

I think that the high way that would lead us to the truth has not been made. You could look at it literally even. Road projects are being started but after a few days of work, they just leave it there unfinished. It is a shame that people are so eager to have things started just to win the bid. All they wanted was to have so much more given no regard to the trouble it is causing to the people. The person who has the power and authority will not do anything if he will not get something out of it. The truth is out but they do not want to believe it. Maybe they are hoping that the investigation would go the distance so that people will forget about it so that they could get away with it eventually. It is funny because new designs for the peso bills are being produced and at the same time, millions are lost. There is just so much issue that this country has. I wonder on how and when would it end.
